Webster is a HS kid with lots of potentiol and a good jump shot (a rarity from HS players). He has an NBA body at 6'7 235. If he can stay out of trouble in Portland and produce he should be there for 10-15 years. I think he might be better suited at the 3 but he can play SG too. I'm not sure about his defense because he played against HS kids so you'll have to watch him and judge him yourself.

his defense is great from what they say. SHUT DOWN McCants in a draft workout. and "as long as he can stay out of trouble in Portland" wow.. its a shame how some people like you think. hes a great kid, did u even see his interview on pre-draft show.. apparently not. he was so excited just to be in the league. not a selfish player at all. lost his mom at a young age and seems to be a strong kid. stop being negative people.

What the hell are you talking about? I wasn't bashing him, I was merely saying if he can stay out of trouble, he'll be fine, because Portland's players in the past, whether they have good or bad attitudes have a history of getting running into trouble with the law. So comprehend better next time.

Rasheed, Damon, Ruben, Qyntel Woods, Randolph, and while Miles didn't get in trouble with the cops, is immature and a headcase, and I'm sure I'm missing a couple of others. Portland has a reputation as one of the worst teams off of the court.

This was a great pick by the Bazers he is going to be a really good player soon. With his jumper he will be a future 3 point champ and all-star.

Can you read and comprehend? Seriously. The point I was first trying to make if he can stay out of trouble in Portland, he will be fine. That doesn't mean I said he's a trouble maker. Randolph wasn't a trouble maker, but ran into problems with the law. Notice in my first reply to you I said in the past players have gotten trouble in Portland. That's why I brought up old names.

BTW, When Randolph got in trouble, Woods had nothing to do with it, so I have no clue what you are talking about in that regard.

Webster is a big NBA-ready kid with a great shot. He has a ton of potential and is unlike the other high schoolers who may be ready to contribute right away. I had Webster as the highest rated shooting guard as well as high schooler on my draft board. Sorry to say but I feel Portland is probably the worst place he can wind up though. Webster he immature and along with his defense is one of his biggest weaknesses and playing in Portland with Miles, Randolph, and Stoudamire won't help that. Webster doesn't have the greatest defensive ability in the world like I said and it would be great in his first couple years that he has a big defensive experienced point guard to play along side of. Instead he has a 6' guard named Sebastion who hasn't heard of defense yet. Webster will take some time to develop the defensive part of his game but until then the Blazers look like they are going to be burned in the backcourt.

I really like Webster and he seems like he'll be a good if not great NBA player but like someone mentioned if he stay's out of trouble in Portland. I was really mad when Denver traded the rights to Jack to the Blazers because of they're troubled recent past with Woods, Damon and Miles. I still think Portland is a great Franchise but th ey need to keep they're players out of trouble.

its a nice pick because he gives them some nice size and is a great shooter, from what I've seen and read...him and Telfair, as well as Jack, will make a dynamic backcourt, and they should form to make a nice core along with Randolph, and maybe even D-Miles...

Im glad to hear you guys reviews about him, i like Shooters alot cuz even if they can't handle the Physical D of the NBa at first they can still score and contribute - look at Korver...
