Again, I'm pretty dissapointed in this pick. We could have drafted a better player like Ryan Gomes.

Well, he was a High School All American in the same class as LeBron. Pretty much he didn't live up to his complete potential at Florida State though. He can jump pretty well, and has an alright stroke. Personally for the lakers i would've prefered somebody like Gilchrist, but they can still pick him up so we'll see. I think that they should've picked a PG or somebody who can atleast D up real good on PG's. A quick long-armed guy.

The Lakers could ofgotten a better player but I think that Wafer is going to do pretty good with the Lakers.

Von Wafer is not that bad of a pick. He gives the Lakers a kid with excellent range on his jump shot and a phenomenal athlete as well. If it weren't for his crappy attitude at FSU, he could have been a first round pick this year, either that or he'd have stayed another year and been one next year. He's a very good player. And actually, I disagree with the comparison to Rush. He's a far superior athlete compared to Rush, but might not be as good a shooter. Overall, if he doesn't get traded, it gives the Lakers a fairly good back up shooting guard for when Kobe needs to come out of the game. However, I, like Shape, believe he's going to be packaged in some deal. Whether it gets us another superstar to play alongside Kobe or a pg that Phil will be comfortable with running the triangle, I'm not sure. But to me, it's not likely he'll stay.
