Gilchrist is a good player and he could be a serviceable back up for the Cavaliers, I say they should bring him on board if he fares well at the summerleague.
Great situation for John. He certainly has the ability to start in Cleveland, it's just a matter of convincing management that his past issues aren't going to be a factor.
Gilchrist should make the team because he is a good point guard and the Cavs do not really have a great point guard, good pickup by the Cavs.
He could turn out to be a good player for us if he can fix up his attitude problems. He has a good shot at making the team if he impresses this summer.
... never hurts to give a guy with his talent a shot. If nothing else maybe he can develop in the NBDL?
He certainly deserves to have a shot at playing in the leauge. I think they were stupid not to draft this kid. He will be a great asset for the Cavaliers to have coming off the bench as a backup Point Guard/Shooting Guard.
I think this kid has the potential to be a Gilbert Arenas type player if he loses his attitude and gets a work ethic like Arenas'. He is a big, bulky guard who can score. I was pissed when the Lakers passed him over, I hope he gets his shot in the league, I think he could be a good player one day.
