<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The NBA had a draft party. Cry if you want to. On Tuesday night, commissioner David Stern did not shake the hand of the next Shaquille O'Neal or a worthy heir to Michael Jordan. That's why championships are won in July, not on draft night. The next 50 days will tell whether the Nuggetss are serious contenders. The player they need to obtain in free agency is Michael Finley, twice an all-star for the Dallas Mavericks. Finley is the answer to Denver's prayers. He can stick a jumper from 20 feet. He growls with intensity. He figures to be available and could be acquired on the cheap. Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe has announced to the world he's in the market for a shooting guard. So I asked him for a wish list of attributes for the gun Denver wants to hire. "You have to focus on an experienced player. We want outside shooting. We like players who aren't afraid to play some defense," Vandeweghe said. "And, ideally, it would be a veteran who would be a real good influence on this team, because we still have some young players." </div> Source
wow Finley, in my opinion would change the nuggets around. With an older more efficient Carmelo, then K-mart and Camby down low den you got Finley hittin jumpers n threes if this trade goes down the nuggets are sure to be a great team come next season
I think a Finley signing could make or break the Nuggets. It depends on which Finley they sign, the washed up Finley who always gets injured. Or the Finley who comes out ot play every night.
That would be great for the Nuggets. I also have a feelin like he might consider comin to them. it would be a great lineup
He would be stupid not to come to the Nuggets. He would be pretty much gaurenteed a starting spot & he can still bring it so it makes perfect sense for both sides.
If he stays healthy, his play could possibly take the Nuggets to the next level. I mean if Finley can come in and contribute 15, 5, 3, around those numbers, that will help the Nuggets greatly.
Question stills remains, Does Michael Finley want to goto The Nuggets? I think right now Phoenix is the most likely option. However, I would love to see him goto either of those teams, Finley is still a serious weapon to be dealt with.
Why wouldn't he go to Denver? They are one of the up and coming franchises in the league, and are going to contend for a long time. Finley could really help take them deep into the playoffs.
Which finley will show up if he decides to come here. It's almost Dr. Jekyle(sp?) and Hyde, on one hand he's a great shooter, a guy with experience who still knows how to score. On the other there is the often injured not as effecient Finley.
