<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Michael Finley, Allan Houston and Jalen Rose are all expected to be released. Finley and Rose will likely be seeking the mid-level exception. Houston, who is older and in questionable health, will be available for the veteran's minimum.

Houston has told friends, by the way, that Detroit is at the top of his list. He played for the Pistons for three seasons starting in 1993-94. His wife is from Farmington Hills, and he is still close with Dumars and Hunter."</div>

I would take him for the min, it's worth the risk but not with any of the MLE.

It is a big IF but IF Houston stays healthly then he would be a big time player off the bench and would be very cheap. He is still one of the top shooters in the game. So If the Pistons can get him for the vet min and get a few others by spilting the MLE..the bench would look alot better.

I could not have said it better myself at the veteran minimum Allan Houston is a bargen. The Pistons have taken risks before on Antonio Mcdysess look how well that turned out who is to say Houston will not be the same way. If they can sign Houston for the minimum and Finley for the MLE there roster will be very deep at the two and three spots. I do not think they need much front court help with Darko probably getting playing time next year, and if they resign Elden Campbell they have two capable backups.

The Pistons are setting them selves up for a big off-season. Possibly a new coach, new players who could have big time affects on there playoff runs, and possibly Darko getting some playing time next year that variable alone should make Pistons fans excited to finally see what this kid can do. Also do not forget the front court help they got in the draft they drafted a really tough kid who will give them a guy sort of like what Charles Oakley was for the Knicks during there glory days.
