Summer League will be starting very shortly. I believe practices begin next week sometime. Fran might be a little late and miss the first couple practices in trying to get his buyout finalized so that he could play us. Our team is going to be killer. Dwight and Jameer are both said to be playing for the summer league(most 2nd year players that played good in their rookie years don't play in these leagues) and same with Fran and Diener. It will be great to see these guys gain some chemistry between them and see how they work out. Also don't think too much in the summer league stats, because Lebron had a bad summer league before his rookie year and Dwight had only a decent one last year and you see how they turned out. So if Fran struggles then don't jump all over him right away, remember this is his first experience playing with US players and he still doesn't speak good enough English. He will learn by training camp and will be ready during preseason to show what they can do.

I hope the Magic sign one of those players who did not get drafted to play for our summer league team.

No Mark Jones? Andre Berrett? they deserve a chance to play.

Sweet we got the guy with the coolest last name, IMO. Ruben Boumtje Boumtje!!!! Seriously though our team looks stacked with players that have already played in the NBA a little bit. 5 is a lot for a summer league team. Any projections on the starting lineup?

    PG-Jameer
    SG-???
    SF-????
    PF-Vasquez
    C-Dwight

Do you think we might go with a small lineup and start Diener at the 2(since the games don't matter)

btw, I don't think summer leagues are televised anywhere but NBA TV.

I think we will go with Diener at the two because I read on some site that he can guard bigger guys so this will be a test for him. Also, we want both of our main guards to get experience so I say we play them at the one and two.

Mark Jones was signed to a 10 day contract during the season so I don't think he is still on our roster. Andre Barrett was signed to a one year deal last season because Nelson was hurt. He is a unrestricted free agent now so it is up to the Magic to resign him.

I think we are going to be one of the best teams in the summer league and our young guys should get a lot of experience. I think we will every game except maybe one. I really wish I had NBA TV but I guess I will just have to check the box scores on the Magic's website.
