<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eagles4Life)</div><div class='quotemain'>Funny what difference perception means. Lets take a look at Joey harrington (who for some reason many consider a bust) and DAvid Carr (who many consider a star in the making). They were both drafted in the same year. Look at the stats Harrington: Year Team G GS Att Comp Pct Yards YPA Lg TD Int Tkld 20+ 40+ Rate 2002 Detroit Lions 14 12 429 215 50.1 2294 5.35 64 12 16 8/75 28 6 59.9 2003 Detroit Lions 16 16 554 309 55.8 2880 5.20 72 17 22 9/55 24 3 63.9 2004 Detroit Lions 16 16 489 274 56.0 3047 6.23 62 19 12 36/196 43 4 77.5 TOTAL 46 44 1472 798 54.2 8221 5.58 72 48 50 53/326 95 13 67.2 Carr Year Team G GS Att Comp Pct Yards YPA Lg TD Int Tkld 20+ 40+ Rate 2002 Houston Texans 16 16 444 233 52.5 2592 5.84 81 9 15 76/411 31 5 62.8 2003 Houston Texans 12 11 295 167 56.6 2013 6.82 78 9 13 15/90 22 5 69.5 2004 Houston Texans 16 16 466 285 61.2 3531 7.58 69 16 14 49/301 47 6 83.5 TOTAL 44 43 1205 685 56.8 8136 6.75 81 34 42 140/802 100 16 72.5 Their stats are virtually identical. I think people are to soon to drop the hammer on Harrington. I think he has talent, and mark my words, he will have a good year this year. Mariucci would be dumb, to go to Garcia, unless of injury.</div> Carr also started with an expanison team. Not all of them are the Jags and the Panthers right away. He has yet to find a decent back. Maybe Davis to take pressure off of him. Harrington had Stewart who I think ran for a couple 1000 yard seasons. I no James Stewart is no all pro RB but he had the running game going a little where Harrington could at least show something. Plus Carr was a bust until last season when he came out and had an ok year. I didn't expect Carr do anything special because of the situation he was put in. Harrington was in a better situation and has been the worse QB thus far.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (lionbacker11quote)</div><div class='quotemain'> How about the game where he torchered your vikings defense last year for 360 yds and we lost on a botched PAT? How soon we forget... maybe you weren't watching. I sure as hell was. I would call that his best performance. </div> That was against a horrible defense. The Vikings Defense sucked. He got to play 4 games last year against horrible pass defenses and he also got to play against the Bears who didn't have that great of a defense last year either.
The 49ers have way more talent on there roster than Houston had in their 1st season. Last year Chargers went from 4-12 to 12-4. Houston didnt have nearly enough talent to even go 8-8 their 1st year.
