<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to Cleveland Plain Dealer columnist Roger Brown, "It's hardly drawn major support ? yet ? within the Cavs organization, but this idea has been floated around Gund Arena lately: Re-acquiring former team star forward Carlos Boozer, who left the Cavs in a bitter split last summer to sign with Utah. And what pitch is being used by insiders floating the 'Bring Boozer back' trial balloon?
"One, the Cavs do need a solid power forward ? because Drew Gooden simply isn't a top-caliber starter at the '4' spot. Despite a disappointing first season in Utah, Boozer is a definite upgrade over Gooden. Two, everyone Boozer had problems with in the Cavs organization ? owner Gordon Gund, general manager Jim Paxson and head coach Paul Silas ? is now gone.
"Three, the very problem that caused Boozer's departure ? his desire for a fat, long-term contract ? no longer exists: He has five years remaining on a $68 million deal. Four, word is LeBron James wouldn't be opposed to seeing Boozer return ? and the organization is scrambling, in 'hair on fire' fashion, to do just about anything to keep James content."</div>

Take him back!!! I never liked Boozer, I hoping that Boozer stayed with the Cavs, but instead we got him. Now we stuck with his bloated contract.

Well I've alwaysed love Boozer. But coming from a business standpoint this just doesn't make sense. I doubt Boozer would be accepted by the fans for a while. & he does have a big contract so that doesn't help either. On a basketball standpoint it would be great to bring him back. He was dominant in the Eastern League but it was the dumbest move he ever made moving out to the West. He is simply undersized for the West.

I thought about this personally because pulling this trade off with Utah wouldn't be difficult or costly, they won't him gone and we need a power foward.

This deal works out salary wise and could help Utah.

Utah Jazz Trades: PF Carlos Boozer & SG Kirk Snyder
Cleveland Trades: PF Drew Gooden, F Ira Newble, PG Eric Snow, & 2nd Round Pick

The outcome for Utah would be more depth and no long term salary issues, which would certainly come from Boozer's contract. Very interesting, I would like to see it happen personally. Lebron and Boozer worked VERY well together...

If I was the GM for Utah, I would do that in a heartbeat. We could use Gooden, Newble is some good energy off the bench, and Eric Snow is a experienced PG that Sloan would love. Then the 2nd round would be in the Mid-2nd round, where we can get a decent player.

Well I doubt this happens anyway but if it did it would definitly be fun to see how the Cavs fans reasct. I know I would take him back in a heartbeat maybe not the trade King James X3 posted but it would be awesome to get him back.

That's not a bad deal, as Gooden showed that he may turn into a player after all, and Snow would be a great teacher for Williams. I don't know, however, how the majority of Cavs fans would respond, seeing how Boozer did that Benedict Arnold impression last year...
