I think it will be Chris Paul because hes gonna be everything for that team. who do you think and why?
Deron Williams because he'll start everygame, and he will get a lot of assists and rebounds like a Jason Kidd and score a lot too.
true. hes bigger then paul and can get in the paint for rebounds but paul is an incredible scorer and passer
ima go with williams too.... Marvin Williams. he's gonna be THE go to guy for the hawks, since he's brobably the 2nd best shooter on that team (1st is salim) and rebounds, blocks shots, passes, and has a decent for a 6'9" guy. he'll be counted on to do everything, and can do everything. Marvin for ROY

I'll say Bogut because the Bucks suck so he will be starting and he is probably the 2nd best player. He will have the ball in his hands a lot.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DWade3:</div><div class="quote_post">who do you start marvin over, smith or harrington</div> If Harrington stays it should be like this PG Salim SG Smith SF Harrington PF Williams C Who Cares! With Childress coming off the bench or Childress possibly starting if Harrington Leaves.
I think it will be Derron Williams. Utah will have him starting most games. I can see him and Kirilenko running the floor alot and Williams being able to make the easy pass. Derron will average atleast six assists a game and likely 11+ points, and 5+ rebounds with his great size. Runner up will be Paul probably.
I'm going with Chris Paul, Raymond Felton, Bogut and Deron Williams also have very good chances at it.
You guys don't get it though, Marvin Williams won't play that much because he is a player with a lot of potential not a starter coming in. Then Chris Paul is gonna be good, but Paul is just a scorer going to a team with no one else to really help him. So he'll get points and a couple assists, but the people that pick the rookies don't just look at scoring, they look at the overall picture(How's team doing, most improved team, other stats that's not scoring, etc.) Deron Williams is going to a team that would have made the playoffs last year if they were healthy. He will get minutes, and get a evenly spread out stat sheet. Deron Williams will also fill a team need. He is a player that will make Utah better, none of the people mentioned except Bogut and Garcia are going to do that.

Emeka won ROY, and his team didn't make any noise in the league, they were an expansion team. While improving a team helps, that's not what the people picking look at, they also know that their's only so much the guy can do to improve a team, and they look at performances based on the situation.
I'm gonna have to say Chris Paul... it's only him and J.R in New Orleans it's hard not to see them becoming a good 1-2 punch. My darkhorse pick would be Wayne Simien on Miami... depending on if Haslem resigns with the Heat or not. He could get easy garbage points like Haslem, although he's not as much of a hustle guy as Haslem was, he's more skilled and will get easy baskets aroudn Shaq. Can see him averaging around 10 and 8... maybe more.

They want to win this year, no team except the Clippers(who have changed their mind lately) wants to lose. Then their coach, Mike Woodson, wants his job and isn't planning to lose it soon. Marvin Williams won't play as much as people think they will, because he's couldn't even start over a player that wasn't even drafted in Juwad Williams. Marvin Williams is a player, that got drafted so high because of his sky-high potential. Then he won't get that many minutes because they drafted two players that practically play the SF, cuz Josh Smith either plays PF or SF. Al Harrington plays which ever one that Smith isn't playing. Then Childress will sub in at SF. Then they will sign a free agent too most likely. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Paul can give a solid 15 points, 3-4 rebounds, and 6-7 assists, maybe more. Wade proved my point, They'll put double teams on Paul and Smith because of lack of talent they have. So, if you shut down those 2 you win. Emeka Okafor was a no doubter he was going to win ROY because he is so composed and intelligent. Paul is a undersized PG too, so it will be hard for him to score against smaller PG's. As for Okafor being on a Expansion team, they couldn't get worse because their previous record was 0-0, so they improved by winning the 10+ games they did win. Also, which top rookie's team improved so much because of the incoming rookie? Tell me, Howard wasn't what you expect, Ben Gordon was the next thing to helping his team, but he didn't do everything for his team. Livingston and Harris were just 2 players that contributed rookie numbers, Iguodala didn't really help his team, it was Iverson who carried them. Okafor was the clear shot favorite.
