Also on the Raptors summer league team are Toronto draft picks Charlie Villanueva, out of Connecticut, Joey Graham from Oklahoma State, and foreigners Roko Ukic and Uros Slokar. Last year?s rookies Matt Bonner and Pape Sow will be on the team along with two other Canadian natives Nate Doornekamp and Jesse Young. Toronto will play similar teams from the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami, Dallas, and Memphis July 8-11 in the LA summer league.</div> Source
No clue who Olu Famutimi is... oh right he's that Toronto native guy. I don't see him doing much. I see Bonner, Sow, CV3, J.G leading the summer league team. that's their starting lineup plus U-kick-ass. I can see all of them doing good.

When it looked like he was going to go to Michigan State, I made the trip to see one of his games. He's a little undersized at 6-4, but he's amazing athlete and a prolific scorer. Before he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in High School, he was one of the best players in the nation and a McDonald's All-American selection. As coach Heath said, Famutimi's first season was almost a wash because of all of the mental obstacles of his rehabilitation, so this year was almost like his true Freshman year. He still has the athleticism and potential to be a great NBA player.

Anyone know where Randolph Morris and John Gilchrist went? Those are 2 undrafted F.A i'd like to see the raptors add to summer league.

It's too risky. Both Famutimi and Morris are former High School All-Americans who were thought to be future lottery picks at one time, but look at their productivity in college. Morris only put up 8.8 ppg and 4.2 rpg in 19.8 mpg, and Famutimi only put up 9.4 ppg and 4.2 rpg in 23.3 mpg. It's easy to just give up on those guys an call them "overrated" or "busts", but given his injuries and other problems, I have a lot of faith that Famutimi will live up to his potential soon and have a long term career in the NBA.
Just as a point of interest, Stephen Graham (Joey Graham's Twin Brother) is playing for Phoenix Suns Summer League Team.
Can someone please post box score and a link to it... I can't find it on the summer league site, it seems like it's not updated, or just really hard to navigate through. I want to see how our team faired the first game!
Which summerleague are the Raptors in? I don't see a boxscore for the Raps on the vegassummerleague site, and the SPL site's scoreboard doesn't seem to be working. I thought they were in the SPL, but I'm not sure.
Here's some quick notes, my friend is at the game. I'll be going to the game on Monday and hook you guys up with some pics. CV3 dropped 14 points in the 1st half for the Raptors. Pape Sow 10 points. Ukic was not there. They are in the Long Beach League with the Lakers, Grizzlies, Mavs, and Heat. And some other scrub teams. Full Schedule
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">What about Joey Graham shape?</div> He didn't mention him and went to get food at halftime because the Lakers were next after the Raptors and Mavs game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Halftime: Toronto 50, Dallas 46 Villanueva scored 14 points, mostly late 1st and early 2nd qtr's. Showed good range on his outside shot 15 to 20 feet. No Ukik, maybe he needs a visa.... Lots of turnovers, especially early. Not impressed with Dallas center, Eric Chenowith out of Kansas, think he graduated in '01. He's 7'1", 270 but he's kind of slow and missed an easy layup when he could have dunked it. Pape Sow out of Cal State Fullerton '04 has 10 points. Update at the end of the game: Ok, in OT, Toronto 118, Dallas 117, WHEW!!! Villanueva to Sow for a layup to send it to OT 104 apiece. Villanueva to Cook at the end to win it. Villanueva was definitely the best player on the floor for both teams and he led everyone with 23 points. Pape Sow had 19 for the Raptors. For Dallas David Logan had 22 andd Scott Merritt had 19. I'm not sure if it's accurate or anything, I'm just reporting what I read.</div> Link From realgm.com forum. Didn't mention Joey Graham so I don't know if he played.. We won though!
Sounds like Villanueva had a good game. Only summer league, but good to see he's doing good against competition he should breeze by.
