i dont like it, it makes the players look like commercials, theyre basketball players and should only have theyre basketball teams logo with their names on the jersey. Plus i dont think that many people would want to buy jerseys with the bigass coke sign on it lol BUT if it does indeed reduce ticket prices then i dont mind
If this reduces ticket prices it would be great. I don't mind a little square on a players jersey if it lets me go to more games. This weeks ATF deals with why the league has a negative image. Well I think that ticket prices play a major role in the league's image. You can go see a baseball game and spend a day with your family for about $50 (to get into the ballpark and buy food/drinks). Most tickets to NBA games cost around $50 unless you want to sit up in the nosebleed seats where the players look like ants. I have never understood why NBA tickets cost so much money. It makes sense to have NFL tickets cost a lot since there are only 8 home games each year but why does it cost so much for tickets if the sport has close to 40 home games each year? If ticket prices could be lowered, I think the league would gain more fans and maybe some of these "casual sports fans" would start to see what a great game this is.
That is a terrible idea, and I hope that the NBA people wake up and realize it. Wow, that would suck.
So, they want to make it like Mexican soccer with Corona on the back of their jerseys. Will it be on jerseys that you buy? Because it will look stupid to go to school with a jersey that has SUV logo or Southwest Airlines logo below the NBA logo. This isn't a good for the league, just for advertising and getting more money.
I think, that NBA can survive without this deal. At first it will be smal Coca-Cola icon on jersey, but the next thing will be team called " Dallas McMavericks" and full floor and jerseys with commercials. It happened in Europe, and it is ugly!
I dont see why it is such a big deal to ppl, Europeans wear uniforms with ads on them. I dont see the euro fans lashing back at the owners for ruining the game: Making it more commercialized. I personally dont see the price of tickets going down, most owners are greedy(clippers owner) and all they want is money, as well as players. Playersjust want to make what they can as soon as they can. This will cause the players to start making ARod money, the cap will skyrocket and the prices will too. But maybe im wrong, maybe stern will regulate this evenly and fairly throughout the league? Maybe he will lower prices so that the average citizen can afford a decent seat occassionly. Really hope this would lower the prices, i really want to attend a game without spendin' a weeks check while im there.
