<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The agent for Sacramento Kings free-agent guard Cuttino Mobley said his client is getting a lot of interest, but the Nuggets are high on his list.

Agent Andy Miller said he spoke to Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe about his client several times Tuesday. Mobley averaged 17.2 points last season and is one of the NBA's top 3-point shooters - an asset the Nuggets need.

Since the Nuggets may have only the midlevel exception to offer, a sign-and-trade may be needed to consummate a deal for him.

Miller would not discuss other teams that are interested, but the Los Angeles Clippers reportedly are one of them. Sacramento may want to include Mobley in a sign-and-trade after selecting shooting guards Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia in the past two drafts.

Mobley declined to exercise his option on a contract that would have paid him $6.4 million this coming season. One sign-and-trade scenario could logically include Nene and Voshon Lenard, who are due to make a combined $6.5 million in 2005-06.

Miller said Mobley has a strong relationship with Vandeweghe and coach George Karl, and has said that a visit to Denver isn't necessary for his client. </div>

If mobley were to go to the nuggets that would be great because the nuggets need a shooting guard and mobley is the perfect one. there roster would look like this:
    PG: Andre Miller
    SG: Cuttino Mobley
    SF: Melo
    PF: K-mart
    C: Marcus Camby

Thats a pretty darn good lineup and with that starting squad they look like a team that can contend for the finals

I think Andre Miller is a FA but I'm not sure. Cuttino would fit very well in Denver because they need help around the perimiteron offense. This will help everyone on the team out.

Cuttino would be a great fit for the nuggets, they would be getting a shooting guard something that they deperatelly need.

Uh.. no, Miller's still under contract. If Mobley goes to the Nuggets, I could see them being a championship contender (if they stay healthy).

Of course he would be interested in the nuggets because he would start for them. I would be interested also.

Mobley to the Nuggets would be devasting...

For the other teams in the Nugget's conference that is...

He would fill the exact thing the Nuggets are missing. And with Mobley coming in, it solidifies their bench with Hodge, Nene and Boykins.

Now if only they had drafted Francisco Garcia in stead of Julius Hodge.....

Denver is a solid basketball team already, that's been proven, the addition of Mobley would not only be a great fit but could possibly take them to that next level. However, I do believe they still lack quality leadership on the floor. Perhaps the midseason addition of George Karl will eventually leak onto the floor now the he has a complete summer to mesh with this team, but I do think that needs to be addressed.

This might not be the most popular decision, but I think Andre Miller should be traded. I think a more pass oriented point guard would be a better fit. A better decision maker, a point guard with better court vision and leadership skills. A Jason Kidd or Steve Nash type player. Don't know who's available on the market that Denver could go out and aquire, but I think that's the missing piece to their championship puzzle.

Trade Miller for Kidd or Nash? First of all, Phoenix wouldn't do that, New Jersey, maybe, but no way for the Suns. Second, Kidd is aging, just had surgery on his knees, and he has a horrible contract. Miller is a good decision maker and passer, has the best lob pass in the NBA (Just ask Melo, Martin, Camby, etc.), and he's one of the most underrated PG's in the league. I don't even know where you got the idea to trade him when there hasn't been any rumors.

I didn't "get the idea" of trading him from anywhere, I suggested it, there's a big difference. I'm not reporting anything, I'm giving my suggestions. Nor did I ever say Andre Miller could be traded for Kidd or Nash. I SUGGESTED that a Kidd or Nash type player would be key on this Denver offense. Once again, a big difference from what you claimed I've said, although it's not that hard to do realize, you just have to READ my last post.

Andre Miller IS a pass oriented PG... if you remember he led the league in dimes a couple years ago.

All you gotta do is tell him what needs to be done.

I'm not sure about trading Nene. Mobley is getting old, and Nene is up and coming. I'd rather get a young shooter for Nene instead.

Getting Mobley in my mind would make Denver contenders. Carmelo is due for a great year as well as Kenyon Martin, and when you add a great shooter to that starting lineup things can get scary for other West teams.

    PG - Andre Miller/Earl Boykins
    SG - Cuttino Mobley/Julius Hodge
    SF - Carmelo Anthony/Julius Hodge
    PF - Kenyon Martin/Nene
    C - Marcus Camby/Nene

I would say the Nuggets would be one of the top best teams in the West...
