    Financial terms were not disclosed. All first-round rookie contracts are two years with separate club options for the third and fourth years.

    The 2005 Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year, Diogu became the third player to lead the league in both scoring (22.6) and rebounds (9.8), joining California's Mark McNamara in 1982 and Oregon State's A.C. Green in 1985. </div>

    Rookie contract is one of the reason why I like Stern, despite him being a bully time to time. Does anybody remember how hard to sign rookies, or what kind of contracts those unproven rookies got before the current rookie contract? Guys like Marshall should never received such a ridiculous rookie contract. Of course, that didn't stop Nelson (or was it Cohan?) from getting him by trading Goog, despite bust was written all over him when he played in Minny. And, of course, we got Goog from all Webber fiasco, and we got Webber by trading unprotected 3 future picks, which haunted us for years. Ah those days...
