Maxiell would never of been available in the 2nd round where the Pistons drafted. Maxiell is the typical Piston type player. Very strong, plays tough, block shots and plays hard. Thats why Dumars selected him. What he lacks in size he makes up for in energy.
^^^ He was projected to go in the late second round and also on draft night there where weirder things than if Maxiell went in the second round.

Alot of players were overrated and underrated in the mocks. Maxiell was certainly undervalued by many. Mainly due to his size. Good thing about Maxiell is that he played the whole 4 years at college so he should be able to come in and give the Pistons something straight away off the bench.
