Kevin O'Connor noticed. "We're a little disappointed Keith decided not to play in the summer league," said O'Connor, the Jazz's vice president of basketball operations. "What he misses out on is the chance to get a lot of playing time and the chance to get a jump-start on the season." McLeod is not under contract to the Jazz, or any other team. He is a restricted free agent who has been tendered a $795,000 qualifying offer by Utah, meaning the Jazz have the right to match any contract offer he receives.</div> <div align="center">Source </div>
He's got his nose bent out of joint because of Williams. He figures just because he started a few games for the Jazz last year that he should be the #1 guy. He's put himself in a dangerous position. I don't know why the Jazz even made him that qualifying offer. If he thinks someone else is going to offer him more than 800,000, he's delusional. Who'd give that kind of money to a 34% shooter from the floor who only hit three's at a 25% clip?? The guy is delusional, and he's just not that good. It would have made more sense to compete in the RMR and try to school a few of the rookies, thereby raising his value. Snyder and Humphries are playing, what makes him think he's too good to join in?? If someone is foolish enough to offer him more than the Jazz Q offer, turn him loose with my blessing. Kieth McLeod's are a dime a dozen!! Tank
Yeah, Keith has taken a lot of hits to get where he is, but he should keep fighting on if he wants to stay at the top. He has to put his ego away and just take what life gives him, otherwise he's going to end up some 3rd string PG waiting for another chance to play.
Keith McLeod should go to the RMR. If he went to the RMR, he would have a chance to impress Sloan and the Jazz, and give them more reason to start him next season. He started 47 of the 53 games he played in last season for the Jazz, if he wants to be a consistent starter again next season, he will have to earn it.
I really liked the way he played last season, we should get him back if we cant get anyone else in the FA market.
