<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LAS VEGAS - Doc Rivers and Danny Ainge had planned to meet with Paul Pierce [news] after yesterday's Reebok Vegas Summer League game for a heart-to-heart discussion, but that talk was put off because the Celtics guard is involved in a charity event hosted by the Pacers' Jermaine O'Neal.

``He's in town, and we'll definitely get together soon,'' Ainge said. ``The first thing I want to do is listen. I want to hear what Paul has to say. I'm looking forward to it.''
The Knicks' entry was off yesterday, and most of the club's staff took the opportunity to enjoy Vegas. But assistant coach Mark Aguirre left the team hotel (appropriately New York-New York) to watch the Celts beat Dallas, 77-73.

``I've got to go see Gerald Green,'' he said. ``I heard about what he did (Thursday) from our players. They said that dunk of his was unbelievable.''

Green was the talk of the league after his second quarter throwdown against the Clippers. The rookie took off from outside the lane and managed to complete the flight while being fouled.

``You know a guy's something when the players are hollering about him,'' Aguirre said.

As if on cue, Knicks player Trevor Ariza walked by in the lobby.

``Tell me about Gerald Green,'' Aguirre said.

    ``Ooh,'' said Ariza.

When Ainge said it was one of the best dunks he'd ever seen, Rivers cracked, ``That's because you played with Larry Bird. I played with Dominique (Wilkins). I've seen great dunks before.''

Green's shot was off yesterday, but he converted a nice alley-oop slam and smoothly pulled up for a trey to display his offensive spectrum. He had eight points. . . . </div>

I think it's a good move by Ainge to want to speak with Pierce and hear what he's going to say. It's going to be interesting to what he will say. But on a positive not, I'm overjoyed that Green is doing so well and people are talking about him. This will boost Green's confidence.

What's he going to speak to Pierce about? How he's involved in more trade rumors than The Yankees entire roster? What's the latest one from RealGM, Pierce to be moved to Indiana for a package containing Ron Artest? I mean this guy has to be on his way out, I don't know how he could be comfortable working under an office that's shopping him like there's no tommorrow.
