Before free agency began I heard a lot about the Magic pursuing Jerome James. He is still a target for the Magic? He had a so-so season and a breakout postseason, so he has a chance to repeat that. A nice big guy to compliment Dwight could make the Magic a pretty complete team.
I also heard a lot rumors about us going after Jerome but they seemed to have died down for now. I think drafting a big man in Fran Vazquez have silenced some of these talks because now the Magic have greater needs to fill like at the shooting guard position.
I pretty much think that Jerome's playoff performance was a fluke. He's probably going to be overpaid by some team anyway, so he should be happy.
I think teams will be less likely to sign him to a big contract after seeing a. foyle sign that big contract and didnt amount to anything. I hope we can strengthen the team up but it will be with role players that come off the bench because our starting lineup is pretty much set. James would help us if he could continue to play like he did in the playoffs but that is a lot to ask for.
