Chances are extremely low that Bosh will make the All-Star Team! Chris Bosh's a good player but thats all he really is. I don't see him becoming an all-star power forward anytime soon as long as he's still with the Raptors. A player like Bosh should get more minutes per game but Sam Mitchell did the exact opposite, limiting Bosh's minutes, just like how he limits Vince Carters minutes when VC was still in Toronto. Only fans in Canada care about Bosh because he's the only decent player remaining after Vince Carter left for New Jersey (But for how much longer?). Some of you are comparing Bosh's stats before and after the Carter trade. And a lot the fans on this forum don't realize that stats doesn't equal to popularity and fame. VC's been an all-star every year not mainly because of his stats, VC had up and down years. It's because fans and coaches around the world loves Vince Carter (especially the USA - where it matter most) and wants him to be on the All-Star team.
The coaches vote for the All-Star reserves and Bosh can easily make it to the all-star game, I remember Bosh's games agains Garnett and the Wolves, did u see them? Bosh outplayed arguably the best player in the game, most freakish, hardest to guard or whatever you wanna call him. Why wouldn't Bosh be an All-Star anytime soon? Hes improving very rapidly and has the work ethic and talent to be one even this season. VC's minutes were limited because he really didnt do anything to deserve minutes last season. Id say Jalen Rose is a decent player, and so is Donyell Marshall, wouldn't you? Speaking of Rose, he is another player who in his times with Indiana should have been an all-star.

I have to say though, that Bosh was a borderline allstar last year, so I think he'll probably make the squad this year as a reserve, in fact, I'd be surprised if he didn't. If players like Jamison, Walker or Ilgauskas make it over Bosh then thats just sad b/c those guys aren't that good and they're boring to watch. Bosh has an explosiveness to his game. Artest should not make it next year because of his actions last season (Practicing him at PF makes no sense to me when you've got one of the best PFs in the game on your team). Jefferson actually has a good chance of making the team. Before injury last year, he was putting up 24 ppg and 8 rpg (Approx.), plus he's a great dunker. If Bosh is put at center, it is unlikely he'll beat out Shaq and Ben, I don't know how many centers make it, but he'd probably go over Z or Magloire. This is the East allstar team next year IMO. Starters: Guards - Wade, LBJ Forwards - VC, JO Center - Shaq Reserves: Guards - AI, JKidd Forwards - PP, RJ, Bosh Center - Ben, Z (I duno if those are the actual number of spots and position numbers tho)

As if 38 MPG isn't enough? Pshht.. "limiting Bosh's minutes" Ignorant fans like you deserve to be snubbed. Who said that the stats were the main factor in making the all-star team? Bosh doesn't just have good stats, he's one of the most athletic and quick bigs in the game. So please, pack your pile of garbage up and go watch some games.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">but no he didn't put up anything near 20-10.</div> Since when is 18 and 9.4 nothing near 20 and 10?? That is 2 points and .6 rebounds away from 20 and 10. I strongly think Bosh will have a good chance of making the all star team, as long as he gets 20 and 10, regardless if the Raps are losing or winning. If they are a winning team, Bosh can get 17 and 9 and still get on the All-star team.

Oh yes, everyone loves Vince. Especially in the US you are right. Unfortunately those people are just blind and ignorant. Come on, the guy made 14 million a season, was worshipped by all Canadians selling out every one of his repetative charity games, and the guy by his own admission didnt even try last season with the Raps. The guy is worthless. Bottom line, he's a very very very talented basketball player; but the biggest sissy cry baby in the league. I'm with Sir Charles on this one. You really need to bone up on Bosh as well....you're looking at the future man. Bosh will be 20-10 long after Vince is back home living with is mommy.

Now you can defend CB4 all you want, b/c frankly bballfan was pretty ignorant in that statement which was kinda ridiculous, but I'm sick of some of you guys taking every opportunity possible to rip on VC. It's statements like those that give people a bad impression of Raps fans. Now you'd get mad if someone came on this site and started ripping Bosh (like you did above), so quit being hypocritical and keep your bitter opinions abnout the dude to yourself, b/c he's arguably the most popular player in the NBA, and I'm not the only one who's sick of seeing crap about VC on every thread you write in.

I see nothing wrong with me saying "Vince is a punk cause he did this..." providing what i said was factual. And what i said was a fact. If someone's gunna praise Vince and say that the only reason us Canadians/Raptors fans dislike him is becuase we're jealous they deserve to be reinformed. Most popular in NBA is fine....Celine Dion is popular too and so is Bush....that doesnt mean that they're worth a dime though.

Vince is a great player....Bosh is a great player I still say he goes 20-10 this year and does indeed make the all-star team despite the raps being one of the three worst teams in the league
^ I'm ok with that! But i think we have enough young talent as it is...if we were to get a top pick next year, and people were making good solid offers I'd prefer to get some solid veteran's and mid to young role players to surround Bosh with. Ukic, Bosh, Graham, CV, Hoffa, Pape, Bonner are all good and young....if we get any more we'll do the Chicago or Clippers thing and suck for years and years and years.

I'd rather watch the young guys develop and grow together with one goal in their mind down the road: Championship.

They all want to play in the states for either the tax situation, living situation or just due to not understanding Canada enough. I'm not saying i'd want to trade for old old guys or guys with bad contracts...but i'd rather have a couple nice peices that will be nice for a few more years to come than another future all-star..cause we wont be able to keep them all. If we can keep CV, CB, Graham and Ukic past their rookie contracts and they develop the way i think they can its all the young core we need. A few more helpers wouldnt be a problem, but a Rudy Gay would be overkill.

Ukic is out so we can't build around him... I'd want to pick a PG in the draft next year since Ukic gunned out on us thus wasting a draft pick and a future PG. If Ukic had stayed I would have went talent wise and got Gay, he has superstar written all over him.... and if we snatched him we could trade him for a great big man if we wanted to.
