There were several spectacular plays in the first week of the Las Vegas Summer League. Boston Celtics rookie swingman Gerald Green provided arguably the best highlight so far when he dunked over Los Angeles Clippers big men Mark Bortz and Chris Kaman on Thursday. He took off from outside the key for a one-hand tomahawk, sending the crowd into a minutes-long frenzy.

Warriors point guard Marque Perry (Saint Louis, '03) embarrassed former Maryland point guard John Gilchrist in Saturday's game vs. Cleveland. Perry pulled off a vicious crossover dribble from the right wing, causing Gilchrist to stumble and fall on his backside as Perry drove by for a layup. With a smile on his face as the crowd celebrated, Gilchrist immediately sought revenge. He drove straight to the basket and scored a bank shot, but hardly saved face.

New Orleans Hornets second-year guard J.R. Smith dropped some jaws Sunday against Orlando. He drove the right baseline into traffic. He somehow emerged from the chaos, soaring over Magic forwards Jerome Beasley and Jason Klotz for a two-hand dunk and the foul. Smith swung on the rim as the crowd caught its breath.</div>

I read about the Gerald Green slam on a few different sites. Eric Weiss "Draftexpress" said it was the "craziest dunk he has seen in his life". [IMG]

Here is the end of the pic I think, but if someone has a video or better pic please post it [IMG]
