Sure, they got pulled out of a hat like a rabbit. Please, every GM in the league will go out and try to shoot down rumors simply to get the spotlight off them while they try and make transactions. The spotlight on your franchise when your trying to work behind close doors isn't good, it can make deals fall apart. A-Rod and The Red Sox for instance. The media got ahold of it and it was all you heard about 24/7. It's ten times more difficult to pull of any deal with the media and the fans breathing down your neck. No GM wants that pressure, that's why your hear these comments denying everything. I mean honestly, do you believe Antoine Walker isn't being shopped? Do you believe Danny Ainge isn't entertaining Paul Pierce trade proposals? Please...
