<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Free agent Luke Walton has agreed to terms with the Lakers on a two-year deal, his agent, Lon Babby told ESPN Insider Chad Ford on Wednesday. Walton played sparingly for the Lakers last season, but he's a favorite of head coach Phil Jackson because of his passing ability and understanding of the triangle offense. With the Lakers talking trade with the Wizards concerning a Caron Butler for Kwame Brown swap, there might be more time opening up at the small forward position for Walton next season. </div> Hmmm, could this mean that PJ is expecting Caron to be traded? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2107178
Pretty good move keeping Walton, hes young and great passer. As for trading Caron for Kwame ...im not so sure about that trade
As expected, once Phil was hired I expected Luke to be brought back. Luke is not only a fan favorite, but a favorite of Phil.
I'm thrilled we have him back. It's well documented he knows the triangle (one of the few on the team that do) and he runs it well. I expect he'll be playing a more prominent role this time around. Especially if CB is traded.
