<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tko51)</div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tko51)</div><div class='quotemain'>it seems to me that you guys have to resort to smack instead of throwing facts back at me.

If it makes you all happy, I'll say it again - yes Losman can very well be a bust, or look like a bust this season, however the amount of dedication he has shown during the offseason in learning our O completely from a textbook perspective coupled with the fact that he does have a strong, accurate arm, and can scramble - I think the chances of him failing have been greatly minimized - add to that the good d, special teams, and running game - again we're putting him in a situation where he shouldn't have to carry this team for us to win - all he has to do is play conservative, and not turn the ball over.

If Buffalo was where it was when we traded Bledsoe, I'd be $#!tting bricks nervous, but that's simply not the case.</div>

You don't understand the concept of media. I don't know where you live but I am sure you read that Losman has shown dedication. A lot of players do show dedication. Jamal "too small" Reynolds was dedicated his first 2 seasons in GB and he was some what matured and look what happened to him. He was also a top 10 pick. The QB always usually carries the team to victory in some way or another and if you failed to see that then you have failed to learn football 101 [IMG] . The FACT is that Losman in not Brett Favre. The FACT is that they aren't the same person. The FACT is that they are completly opposites at this moment in each other careers.</div>

yeah, Trent Dilfer ultimately led the Ravens to their superbowl victory, just like Brad Johnson (or whoever QB'd the Bucs) did for the Buccaneers, and Jim McMahon with the 85 bears [IMG]

Oh, and I love this part "The QB always USUALLY"</div>

Bad examples you gave. Brad Johnson had a great year when the Bucs won the Super Bowl as did Jim McMahon. I like how your trying to compare the defenses of the Bills to the 85 Bears and 03 Bucs. Also when Trent Dilfer won the Super Bowl with the Ravens he had a couple years as a starting QB already under his belt. So rethink your examples and then we'll talk.

I wasn't comparing the Bills D to those teams.

I was just pointing out that it's not always the O or the QB that gets teams to the superbowl and wins it for them.

If the Bills go all the way this year (hypothetically), and the D is high ranked like say #2 again, and leads in scoring and turnovers again, you know as well as I do that the question is gonna be raised again - is the Bills D the greatest of all time.

Again that whole statement was hypothetical so don't try taking anything out of context.

So why say it? Can I go on a tangent about what if the pats win a 3rd straight championship..is this the greatest team of ALL TIME??? I wouldn't cus whats the point? I'd rather deal in reality...So the Bills D had great numbers...but as far as being clutch...it has a LONG way to go...like learning to beat a team that has folded the tent for the playoffs...or stepping up and making the plays to beat the defending SB champs......nevermind the 6 other losses...

last night i saw Terrell Suggs totally dominate Mike Williams RT, and go and sack bledsoe. Suggs just did like a swim move and was gone and got to him in like one sec. Mike Williams needs to get better in Pass blocking, he was the 4th overall pick and needs to be better. He needs to get better because Losman will lose confindence

every player has a breakdown at some point. I've seen Mike Williams totally dominate Jason Taylor - he may have just been having a bad game, or Suggs is maybe significantly faster the Jason Taylor.

but if your a the 4th overall pick, you should be able to dominate a game. and RT is a lot easier than LT, because LT its most QBs blindside, and most teams put the best pass rusher there.

Yeah, I know, but we must have figured that he was a RT in College - and it could be more devastating to switch him over to the left side which could ultimately hinder his progress.

I can see us switching Teague out to left tackle and moving either Gandy or Anderson to Center (one of them has experience at Center - don't remember which one).

Losman needs a offensive line or hes gonna be on his back all day, and throw more and more INTs if he doesnt feel like he can get protection

That's not entirely true - Our O line did manage to give Bledsoe time to throw against some decent Dlines (see the Miami game). A significant number of the sacks our Oline gave up were Bledsoe's fault.

If your QB tries to hold onto the ball behind any Oline in the league for 10 seconds every time he drops back to pass, he's gonna take some sacks.

and the reason Bledsoe holds the ball for a long time is because he doesnt have open recievers

You always mention our o-line gave time in that game and so on so forth.

Bledsoe was pressured all season. Blaming Bledsoe for giving up sacks is a way to make yourself feel better coming into this season. Anyone not blind can tell that the Bills o-line had lots of problems last season.

10 seconds. Stop talking foolish right now. Bledsoe is a decent QB and had the Bills contending last seaon. Again maybe it was more like 5 or 6 seconds but the fact is the line gave up a lot of sacks and maybe it's not Bledsoe's fault. Maybe your 2 "Pro Bowl" "stud" recievers wern't getting open. You seem to be blaming Bledsoe for everything when his play the last 10 games of last season was a big part of your teams sucess on winning games. Don't say it was just the defense. Bledsoe managed games very well last season.

Why would he not throw the ball to a open reciever before 5 or 6 secs. Maybe your WRs werent open and he was waiting for them to get open, it isnt Bledsoe's fault its your recievers fault for not getting open

Bledsoe didn't have us contending last season - our D and McGahee did - did you notice we didn't start winning until our D gained some consistency and McGahee became the starter? Of course you didn't because you didn't watch the Bills as closely as I did. McGahee made bledsoe a little bit better down the stretch because the opposing Ds had to worry about stopping him and he kinda opened up the passing game. look at his stats in each game - he had trouble hitting 200 yards passing in quite a few games and threw INTs and fumbled the ball at the worst possible time (see the NE and Pittsburgh games)- Bledsoe is washed up.

I dont see why Dallas keep on getting washed up players like Eddie George, Testavede and now Bledsoe.

But i have tons of faith in Mcgahees running ability for next year, and your defense. Just not Losman for a year or two. He still has lot of stuff to learn that he has to learn by being in the game.

I actually like the Bills. Hell I was rooting for them to make the playoffs last season but look at reality. Yes the defense and McGahee had a part to do with contending but Bledsoe had respect with his arm so defenses didn't have to stack the line. Bledsoe really stepped it up and his pct of passes completed increased last season in that run.

maybe because our D was keeping opposing offenses off the field - look at the trends in all the games that we won during our little run - we seemed to pile on the offense toward the end of those games. I didn't start to breathe easy until about the 4th quarters of a lot of those games (minus the seahawks and 9ers games)

Actually the Rams game is a perfect example of this - yeah we smoked them, but we didn't start to seriously pull away until the middle of the third quarter if I remember correctly.

What I was trying to say was that we had tired the oppositions D out because our D kept making other teams punt (we had a hell of a lot of 3 and out series by our D last season). Plus the running game tires a D out as well.

Well your defense didn't score all the points no matter what you say. ha Bledsoe managed the team with poise during that run. You can say "maybe" all you want but Bledsoe clearly was a part of that run by the Bills and I don't think Losman can come in and provide experience and enough leadership to get you guys over the hump and into the playoffs in the AFC.
