Wed, Jul. 13, 2005 Turiaf signs with Lakers Associated Press EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Second-round draft pick Ronny Turiaf has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Turiaf, the 37th overall selection in last month's draft, was the West Coast Conference player of the year as a senior at Gonzaga last season, averaging 15.9 points and 9.5 rebounds. He ranks fourth in career scoring and rebounding at the school. The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging 14.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game for the Lakers' team in the Summer Pro League in Long Beach.

He reminds me of an Etan Thomas with more offense, it's nice to lock him up..can't wait to see him in action.
