This really hurts the Kings. In the end, we end up with nobody after trading Christie and it is quite clear that this franchise is in a horrible rebuilding process. I still think that the way the Kings were playing at the start of last year was enough to push them over the edge but a number of questionable moves have now possibly forced the team out of the playoffs. There is no way that the Kings should have let Mobley go for free. This will hurt the team for years to come as well because there is no way that the Kings can get under the cap until about 2008 or 2009. Does this mean that the Kings have to keep Maurice Evans and start him at SG? Don't even suggest Garcia starting because anyone who ever followed the Kings knows that Adleman hardly lets rookies see the light of day. Now, if the Kings can't get a player in return for Mobley, this means that there will be gaping holes at both SG and PF. Petrie has his work cut out for him.

^Think you might be overreacting a little? While losing Mobley for nothing was the worst thing that could have happened I see having to start Evans instead of Mobley as a positive. The reason I say overreacting is because you think they could miss the playoffs. From the second half of last season this team hobbled into the playoffs with 50 wins, wasnt anywhere near in danger of missing the playoffs.Maybe im just optimistic but I dont think the Kings will have such a tough time with injuries next year.I'll bet Adelman gets Garcia some decent pt.Matt Barnes started seeing alot of minutes last year because Adelman didnt have much of a choice.I think this is a similar situation.
