<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If Eddy Curry has any excitement for his Thursday visit to the Atlanta Hawks, his first as a restricted free agent, he didn't show any of it Wednesday.

"My heart never changed," he said. "Chicago always will be the place I want to be. Right now it's just business."

If Curry had any concerns about his health or contract status, he didn't show any of that either.

The 6-foot-11-inch Bulls center recently began working out after taking three months off because of an irregular heartbeat. He reiterated Wednesday that he's fine.

"I feel 100 percent," he said.

Bulls general manager John Paxson has said he will pay what it takes to retain the four-year veteran. Curry is eligible to sign a contract July 22.

"I don't even think about that," Curry said. "I let Leon [Rose, his agent] handle all of that."</div>

Honestly I am split on this. I feel like Curry has whined a little, but if Paxson gave him his word that after he reached a certain point he would be resigned then it is wrong the way he is treating him right now. He has done everything the team has asked of him its a business, but a mans word is his word. It?s hypocritical of Paxson to say something, and then contradict himself on a couple occasions. He is probably our biggest free agent this off-season. Although, Chandler is good on defense I do not ever see him reaching Curry?s level offensively.

I could be wrong, but I think the Bulls are just waiting for Trustmark, the NBA's official insurance company. Every paper I read is mentioning the fact that Paxson is waiting to see if Curry's heart condition will be insured by the league. If not, his contract will likely be short-term and incentive-laden. If on the other hand it is insured, the Bulls will likely be more inclined to sign him to a longer contract.

So as much as Paxson wants to sign Curry, he won't move until he has an answer (especially with Reinsdorf breathing down his neck), and I don't know about insurance in the US, but back here in Belgium, Insurance companies are not really known for being efficient and fast in dealing with issues like this. I did read an article earlier today about that on hoops hype today. However, I still think that if he was going to go through looking to the insurance companies and all that stuff he should have let Curry know, and not be in the dark about it like he was left. In the article I read today though it said that if the contract is not covered it may be up in the air if he will resign Curry or not.

That is what Paxson said so who knows what that means.
