im not sure that move wud really help the cavs as wut they're looking for is a high percentage 3 pt shooter and if walker reverts back to his old ways of jacking 3 upon 3 he may not fit well into the cav system. he is no doubt more talented than gooden but may just not be the best fit for the cavs

I would hate to see walker go 2 the cavs..I used 2 love the celtics when it was Twan and Pierce..But then walker left..And I didn't like the celtics as much..So now that Twan's back, my fav. team has went from the cavs to the celtics..And I'm very happy he's back, and would love 2 see the celtics finally win another championship..

Walker is just another Drew Gooden; shoots too much and doesn't play defense. Please Cleveland, stay away from Walker!

Huh? Since when does Gooden shoot too much? I agree that they both don't play defense, but your way off saying Gooden shoots too much. Infact, he shoots 49%, so who cares if he shot too much anyway?

i think u guys are better off keeping gooden than signing walker. walker jacks up too many 3s, and is probably even worse defensively than gooden. plus, gooden is a couple of years younger.

I would hope he would shoot 49% considering he shoots the ball 11 times a game. When you have LeBron on your team, you better not be shooting the ball like crazy as Gooden does.

When you have LeBron on your team, you get open looks. And hey, if you shoot that much and and nail almost 50% of your shots, why wouldn't you shoot?

In his 3 year career, Gooden has always shot the ball a lot. 2002-03 with Orlando he averaged 10 shots per game and with Memphis he averaged 11 shots per game. With Orlando in 2004, he shot the ball 10 times per game as well. Gooden just isn't the best option for the Cavs.

I don't get the big deal with 10 shots a game. That's like 2-3 shots a quarter. Plus he shoots efficiently, whats the problem with that?

The thing that bothers me though is will there be enough shots for LeBron, Hughes, Z, and Gooden? Everytime I watch Gooden get the ball down low, he always tries to force a shot up. The Cavs need someone who can play some defense and be selective with their shots.

Drew Gooden wasn't drafted #4 because he was just a rebounder. Although you might say he forces it, he's better than Toine because he doesn't jack it up from 25 feet with 20 on the clock.

Boozer isn't that good of a defender. He isn't a shotblocker either.

I want nothing to do with Boozer's huge contract. And he isnt THAT much better than Gooden. Drew had pretty comprable stats to Boozer. Boozer averaged 18 and 9 in 35 minutes per game and Drew averaged 14 and 9 in 31 minutes per game. Their stats wouldnt be too far apart if they both averaged the same mpg.

From what Ive seen theyre pretty much the same defensively. I would give Gooden the edge just because he blocks more shots. Boozer is a lot more consistent than Drew though. Id rather pay Gooden his 4million next season than Boozer's 12million.
