<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Amid increasing media speculation that Pat Riley plans to replace Stan Van Gundy as Heat coach, Riley issued his strongest denial yet on the matter Thursday.

Heat spokesman Rob Wilson said Riley, in Los Angeles with the team's summer-league entry, told him the report and speculation about Riley's plans are false.
"Stan is our head coach," Riley said through a team spokesman. "We don't plan on making a change."

Riley said has no plans to coach the team, according to Wilson.

The latest report was by ESPN analyst and former Heat broadcaster Jack Ramsay, who said on the air Thursday that Riley would return to coaching. Ramsay still covers the NBA and maintains close relationships in the Heat organization.

Speculation about Riley's plans started in June when he said he would take a more active role with the team next season. Later, Riley said he simply meant he wanted to assist Van Gundy but wouldn't say what those contributions would be and didn't directly address the issue of a possible return to coaching.

The controversy surfaced again Monday when Van Gundy was vague about his status, saying in an interview that he was the coach "right now." Van Gundy declined to say whether he had sought a clarification of his status from Riley.

ESPN ratcheted up the Riley talk this week with frequent on-air debates by its analysts and personalities about the subject. One analyst, Marc Stein, said the buzz in "NBA coaching circles" was that Riley would replace Van Gundy.</div>

Well, I can't buy YET (doesn't mean I don't drink however [IMG]). Whoever chugs the most beers in 10 minutes wins. [IMG] [IMG]

    Sorry to keep this off-topic.

Bobcats 10 minutes is not enough time to get even get buzzed though. Beer chugging is nothing, let's talk hard liquor. Here's a short list of things I've done, paid the price no doubt, but still crazy enough to do.

    - Had 25 shots of various alcohol on my 21st B-Day
    - Beer bonged a bottle of Absolut Citron
    - Finished off a bottle of Patron playing Texas Hold 'Em
    - Drank 30 Sake Bombs on my 25th B-Day

Here are a few drinks I would like for you to try when you are of age. A Nail in the Coffin, A German Death, and An Atomic Fireball. When you can drink at least 8 of those without flinching and praying to the porcelin goddess, then you will be ready grasshopper.

    - 16 shots of straight vodka, and 16 shots of mixed drinks me and my cousin made on my 16th birthday
    - Beer Bonged a bottle of Smirnoff on the Canada Day long weekend
    - Drank a 24 of Molson Canadian at my friends party (never had a Canadian beer I never liked [IMG])
    - Chugged about 3 or 4 40 ozs. of Colt 45 (don't even remember, I had more to drink that night, plus a little wacky tabbacy if you know what I mean [IMG] )

I had a drink, I forgot what it was called (I think it was called Abstence) about 70% alcohol, got me drunk off my ass. I've never had a NIC or German Death, but I'll be sure to try it in the near future. [IMG]

Funny how we change the topic from Pat Riley to alcohal drinking. [IMG]

EDIT: nvm, I never had a Atomic Fireball, got it mixed up with something else.

I've had an Atomic Fireball before and some drink called Abstence (I think that's what its called, it tastes like black lickerish, 70% alchohal). I've never had a NIC or German Death, but I'll be sure to try it in the near future. [IMG]

He's quite the drinker himself, so it's sort of on-topic. I think he would appreciate our accomplishments. [IMG]

    Heat Interested In Blake?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Even if Miami re-signs Jones, the team is also interested in Washington Wizards restricted free agent point guard Steve Blake.

If the Heat signs Blake to an offer sheet, the Wizards would have the opportunity to match. But Washington might allow Blake, a former Miami High player, to leave if it acquires point guard Chucky Atkins in a proposed deal that would send Kwame Brown to the Lakers and Caron Butler to Washington. Atkins reportedly is part of the trade.</div>
