<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Atlanta Hawks rolled out the red carpet Thursday when Bulls center Eddy Curry arrived for his two-day visit. The Hawks chauffeured Curry in a limo, booked him a suite in a five-star hotel and brought him to Philips Arena, where the restricted free agent was treated to a video on the arena's giant monitors of some of his high school heroics at Thornwood. ''That would be great to come here and try to fill that [low-post center] void [and] try to help rebuild this team,'' Curry told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. ''I had a lot of down times in Chicago. But for the most part, once you start winning, it all clears up and you feel good about your whole situation. ''They really had us thinking that once the season was over, they were going to lock their players up. This part I don't even worry about. I've just got to keep working hard, doing what I'm doing, getting myself right so when training camp comes around, I'm ready to go. Not thinking that far ahead, [but] I definitely think if I ended up here and had to go back to Chicago, they'd know what they were missing. They know how I do.'' Curry also talked and dined with general manager Billy Knight. Today, he will do more of the same and might get examined by Hawks doctors before he attends a concert by Destiny's Child. According to a league source, if Curry does not get examined today, he will on a second visit the Hawks are planning. Bulls operations chief John Paxson has said he will match whatever offer Curry gets. The Bulls are waiting to see if Curry's irregular heartbeat, which sidelined him for three months, will cause insurance problems. They are interested in a short-term deal with incentives, and if the Hawks are willing to offer a long-term deal without incentives, the Bulls might be forced to pursue a sign-and-trade. Hawks forward Al Harrington is one possibility. ''It's a lovely town,'' Curry said of Atlanta. ''I'm extremely excited about this whole situation and glad the Hawks have taken an interest in me. They're a great team, young players are great and it's just a matter of time before they can start having some success around here. Right now they definitely have the right core. It's probably going to take a couple more players ... before they reach the level they're trying to reach.</div> Source
PG: Salim Stoudemire SG: Joe Johnson SF: Al Harrington PF: Josh Smith C: Eddy Curry Thats a really nice lineup.

PG: Salim Stoudamire / Free Agent Signing SG: Joe Johnson SF: Josh Smith PF: Marvin Williams C: Eddy Curry
PG - Joe Johnson SG - Josh Childress SF - Josh Smith PF - Marvin Williams C - Eddy Curry This would be their best lineup if they landed both JJ & Curry. Also Al Harrington would be traded if the Hawks landed Curry.
If the Hawks get Johnson and Curry, they should trade Harrington for a backup C or PG. PG - Joe Johnson SG - Josh Childress SF - Marvin Williams PF - Josh Smith C - Eddy Curry That's a young, atheltic team that would contend for 10-15 years.
Yeah, after looking at Josh Smith, he look's like he has really bulked up and would probably do better than Marvin at the 4.
i dont understand why the hawks have to trade al harrington unless its for a sign and trade for curry. The last time i checked we have no good bench players so having harrington or marvin come of the bench can make our bench better and us a better team overall. i dont think we should trade harrington
yeah. we should definately start him. the talk of starting marvin is crap. al is way better than him right now. i see our lineup like this PG: joe johnson/ Salim stoudamire SG: Josh Childress/ Salim stoudamire SF: Al Harrington/ Marvin Williams PF: J-schmitty/ Marvin Williams C: Eddie Curry/ FA (maybe evans or james?) billy knight said he plans to split the time at forwards spots evenly with al, josh and marvin. thats 32 min each.
Harrington is going to start for sure, but everyone's (except MaxBallin I guess) lineup is based on if Harrington was traded. Marvin would have to go to bench until they move Al.
you had the closest starting lineup <div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">PG - Joe Johnson SG - Josh Childress SF - Josh Smith PF - Marvin Williams C - Eddy Curry This would be their best lineup if they landed both JJ & Curry. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting vtime:</div><div class="quote_post">It will be C Curry PF Harrington SF Childress SG Smith PG Johnson 6th man Williams Key reserves: Lue, Stoudamire, D. Smith. Diaw</div> josh smith cant play sg and neither can childress but childress fits there better.
Johnson has the best PG skills on this team. Johnson Childress Josh Smith Harrington Curry Why would you start Marvin Williams? He didn't start at college, thats moving too fast for Marvin.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">PG - Joe Johnson SG - Josh Childress SF - Marvin Williams PF - Josh Smith C - Eddy Curry</div> It would be so fun to watch a lineup like this. All of them w/ the exception of Curry can interchange with each other in so many positions, and they could cause some matchup nightmares for opposing teams.
