<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Let's start with the Lakers' Bynum, who is have a solid showing in the Summer Pro League in Long Beach, Calif. Bynum has been solid, averaging 13.0 points and 6.6 rpg for the Lakers. Scouts have been raving about his soft hands, athleticism and court intelligence.

While no one is predicting he's fighting his way into the starting lineup anytime soon, every scout Insider talked to conceded he's further along than they thought.

"It's interesting they're bringing Kwame [Brown] there," one scout told Insider. "Maybe they'll use him as an example of how not to make the jump to the NBA. This kid seems to have his act together both on and off the court. He's got the chance to be really good. On draft night, I thought they really reached. Now I'm not so sure. Maybe he should've gone higher." </div>

Found this on today's Insider Chad Ford blog. [IMG]

Nice to see people are starting to see the Lakers weren't kidding with the Bynum. They really do think he's gonna be good, and he's showing that he's willing to work. I think the league is going to underestimate us with Bynum and Kwame, I would love to see us make it at least to the conference finals.

I agree. It's going to be a good thing that the Players, mainly the centers, are going to underestimate Bynum, and all that talk about "Bynum being the next Olawakandi and Phil coaching for money rather than gold blah blah" is a bunch of anti-laker propaganda!!

Thanks Shape. This just makes me more excited to actually see him play. A Kwame, Bynum, and Odom frontcourt could be potentially deadly!
