I kinda had a tought that would make me smile and thought i'd share. Reading some insider pages it looks like Antonio Daniels has been carousing about town with the Portland Trailblazzaaz:"<font color="Red">Daniels and his agent, Tony Dutt, dined with representatives of the Portland Trail Blazers, including McMillan, in Las Vegas yesterday</font>", the article in the Seattle times goes on to say <font color="Red">"With Portland and Utah, Daniels would be asked to mentor young point guards Sebastian Telfair","It would be nice to start, but that's not the most important thing to me," Daniels said. "I need to be in a situation where I feel comfortable. Where I feel like they believe in me as a player and believe in my skills as a person. Somewhere my wife is comfortable. I thought that place was Seattle, but I'm finding out more and more that maybe it's not."</font>.
Maybe he was comfortable with Nate Mcmillian, why even accept an invitation from Portland, when legit teams are looking to start you? Then i got to thinking worse case scenerio is that he signs wit Portland and they gotta move Jack. I mean if there is a deal on the table with Portland i say maybe Jack is part of the deal and Portland is waiting to see if the can acquire another pg. Maybe thats why Jack did not play in the summerleague, i know he had an ankel thing but I think the blazers didn't want him to be exposed to potential scrutiny. I think with as wacky as things were going Draft night that the Indiana pick(if acquired) was gonna be used on Jack, but Granger fell and Bird aint stupid( <font color="Yellow">even though i think Granger in that system is gonna make him a bust</font>). Ya gotta think, THEY HAD A CHANCE TO DRAFT
UKIC AND DIDN'T. You don't gamble like that unless you have a contengence plan.
Yeah man I think that if daniels is signed, Jack comes over with Patterson,HA SUNG-JING and we give up WALTON,DIVAC,GEORGE,AND THE MIAMI PICK NEXT YEAR.
Maybe Sasha cause his SERB BOYS play for portland

Its going to be hard for Divac to play since he's retired.

I think the Lakers can still trade his expiring contract, which the Blazers would want to lower their cap figure.

There's been some rumors flying around the Blazers would trade Theo Ratliff & Ruben Patterson for Brian Grant. Since Grant's contract expires sooner than Ratliff's and Patterson's, the Blazers would be willing to pull the trigger on this deal. IF Daniels does end up signing with the Blazers, I would love to see the Lakers work Jarrett Jack into the proposed trade above, by including Cook, Walton, George, Slava, or the future 1st round Miami pick.

Where can this trade possibility be confirmed? With Theo Ratliff on our team, we could have a very nice starting five:
    C Kwame Brown
    PF Theo Ratliff
    SF Lamar Odom
    SG Kobe Bryant
    PG Antonio Daniels?

Theo and Ruben for Grant?! Portland's crazy. I wouldn't make that trade if i was terribly intoxicated. Grant is a $15 million a year slug. If the rumor is true, than the Lakers should go for it.
