    Any interest?

We have apparently made some initial enquiries - New Jersey and Houston are also interested, and New Jersey can offer the Grizz a trade exception in return in terms of a sign and trade.

I'm not overly convinced. He would add a shotblocking presence and a spark in the middle, but at 6'9, is he big enough to log consistent minutes in the middle? He wouldn't have a seven footer like Gasol next to him here, and I have a feeling he'd prefer to go to a situation like Houston where he can play the four without much pressure. There are also question marks over his work ethic and commitment, and always have been.

    Discuss.

I like Stro Swift. I just like saying his name. And when he came out of college he wore a t-shirt that said 'The Stro Show'.

Anyway, I think he's still pretty young, no he wouldn't be a bust up guy in the paint but he is very active and can block shots form the weakside.

He would give us some much needed athletecism at the 4, too.

Any idea what we're offering? Is he a free agent or is this a straight up trade?

Oh and welcome back, Nick. [IMG]

I think he'll be good if he gets his minutes. If we get him I'll be happy..But whatever happened to Nick starting the 4 for us?

I wouldn't be targetting him specifically to play the four. Nick showed enough last season to be our longterm starter, and right now our priorities are in the middle. No Jerome, Pot no certainty to be back and Casanova not ready to start, if we're going after Stro it is definately to fill the middle.

Stro Swift would be a great addition to the Sonics. He's quick and athletic and a decent shot blocker. Why not? If the answer is because he isn't a true center then I'm calling bull. Jerome gave us 5 and 4 (roughly), and look how solid we were last year.

    He signed with Houston, apparently.
