Next year they should draft Chris Leak with the #13th draft pick in 06. Then they would have a young and explosive offense</div> assuming they get 13th pick, leak is avaible there and that he doesnt get hurt
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>Yea I actually think the AFC WEST is the hardest divsion in football. 1. AFC West 2. AFC North 3. NFC South 4. AFC East 5. NFC North 6. AFC South 7. NFC East 8. NFC West</div> Has to be AFC east. 3 out of 4 super bowls
The AFC West, North, East are extremly hard divisons. The west all are playoff caliber. AFC North 3 great playoff caliber teams. AFC West 2 great teams and 1 good team. But with getting deep in the playoffs the AFC East is it with the Pats and Jets. But overall depth in the divison it has to be the west
i think the afc east because yea the pats and the jets not only have great teams but every team in that division has a great defense, Phins maybe but its clear that the Bills, Pats and Jets all have just about Top 5 maybe Top 10 defenses. Going through that is pretty tough. Not to mention they have to play hard AFC playoffs teams and some solid NFC teams

I give it to the West because the Raiders are the best team at the bottom of those divsions.

I believe he is probably under 6" as well. So I don't think he goes top 10. top 15 is pushing it.
If so he will get drafted in the top 15 probably to the Cowboys,Cards,Lions and be a potential BUST at that height. He will get a ton of balls batted at the line of scrimmage and also throw a lot of picks because of a lack of vision.

Overall there are 4 teams in a divsion and the fact is that their wasn't an all afc east championship.

The AFC west is overrated. Look the Chargers were 1-5 last year against playoff teams. The one win was against the Broncos. Surprise another AFC West team. The Broncos will produce a 1000 yd rusher this year. They do every year. Big deal. The defense is nothing to speak of they lost Herndon and Kennedy to Free Agency and John Lynch is getting old. Champ and Wilson are dominant but this defense will struggle especially with the passing attacks in this division. Plus what is with the addition of the entire Browns D-line? KC has gotten better on the defensive side of the ball no doubt. Surtain Knight and Bell were huge additions. However, I am still not sold that this defense can stop anyone. It is one of those I'll believe it when I see it things. And now the Raiders with the worst defense in the league. Great they got Moss and Jordan. And that will help protect this defense a little. But Collins already threw for 3500 yds and 21 TD's last year. The problem was he threw 20 INT's. Moss will add to Collins' TD and YD total but so what? They still can't stop anyone. Collins is still going to throw INT's. It is going to be interesting to see Moss on a losing team next year. He was a baby in Minny where he went to the playoffs just about every year it is going to be funny to watch him now.
In terms of Schedules...The Afc North...9 of the 16 games are against teams with win'n records for the average north team and the others are against quality opponents. The best division is the AFC North. No team in this league would want to play baltimore 2 times and pittsburgh 2 times and see the bungles twice. Thats a shot at a minimum 4 loses between the 3 teams.
The same can be said about the Broncos, Cheifs, Chargers this season as well. Only difference is the Raiders are more dangerous in Cleveland. Which is why I put the AFC West ahead of the North. As for schedule wise the AFC East is by far the toughest schedule in football this season. 12 of 16 games are against playoff caliber teams. They play the AFC West the hardest divsion in football or at least top 2 and the NFC South the hardest NFC divsion. Not to mention they play each other twice a year. Jets,Pats,Bills are all contending teams. By the way welcome to the forums.
Welcome Prophet...Always good to have another Steeler fan around ..... but sorry the we handled the North pretty good last year...5-1 overall...I'll take it. AFC East is where the defense roam...thats why it is the toughest division....forget the west and all their offense because offense means shit in the end...look a the vikes, colts, cheifs, and rams...some prime examples of where a great offense gets you....
I agree last year the east had the hardest division when it came to defense but when you look at it this year pitts D is better because of the exp it gained and the fact that we got C. Hampton back this year. Baltmores D ogt better with the Addition of Sumari Rolle giving them the best D Backfield. and Clev and Cinci improved greatly this year. So in our Confrence you have the best Defensive backfield with baltimore and best Linebacker Corps with Pittsburgh as well as the best 3-4 Dline with Pittsburgh. In the East you have a brusci and Crannel-less Patriots team and a Buffalo Team that was a lil overrated...just look at what pittsburghs 2nd string did to them the last game of the season when there playoff hopes were on the line...and the jets D didnt improve overall this year. Miami is the only team doing it on D. To me they have the best overall D in the league...look at them statisticly last year and think about the fact that there O was like last in the league....
Your nuts if you gonna say Miami is the only one doing it on D....and as for D-line...I'd take our Youth, depth, and Experience over anything you guys have....as for Burschi..that will be tough but it still is Belichicks system that puts these players in position and its stll Belichicks game plan..NOT crennel...I think Mangini will do fine..I'm only worried about the offense. I agree the Bills Defense was not as clutch as it should have been but was still very good and the Jets Defense was top 10 as well....Miami's Defense showed up every night with no help and played their Ass off and could easily been a top unit..none of these defense lost enough to have a drastic drop off. Also If your gonna tell me cleveland has improved your crazy...all they have done is add a rookie head coach who should get them going in the right direction but they haven't improved that much and Cincy is a good offense that added some players on d mostly through the draft but I'm not to sure they are ready to contend either...personally I'm curious to see how Rothlisberger fairs this season because when the ball ended up in his hands with the pressure on he folded.....don't get me wrong..as a patriot fan even though we have had some riviarly like games with the steelers I love to watch them play...and have loved Hines Ward for years...I just don't think Ben is a lock to rattle off another winning streak like he did with the way he was exposed as the season wore on...
