you who thought his STUNNING performance in the prior SPL game was a fluke, you thought wrong:

    Von Wafer:

22 Points shooting 8/12, 3 steals, in 29 minutes! This guy is not only scoring well, he is shooting a very high fg %.

Carlos Powell & Devon Green also had good games, with 16 and 14.

Bynum had kind of a crappy game with only 8 points & 6 boards, (1 block and 1 steal too).

I can't wait to see this Von Wafer kid play...his last two games in SPL have been as good as any game anybody's had in SPL. Who would have thought???

wow, never expected that of him. i thought that mitch made a horrible desicion on drafting him, but i guess i was wrong. he's been really heating it up lately, and i hope he can continue doing so at the regular season. if he does, he could be an even bigger steal than turiaf. good job mitch! shows he's doing some homework. yeah, but its still pretty big numbers. although its summer league, you dont see many people shot for 29 points at such a high shooting percentage. and not only that, but he did it two games in a row! i cant help but to get excited about this guy.

Loren Woods averaged a double double and over 3 BPG in the Summer League last year. You don't see many people do that in summer league. How did his season turn out? Von Wafer could be a very servicable player, but you guys are making it sound like he's going to be something special.

i'm not saying he's going to be micheal redd or ray allen or anything. i doubt he'll even be an allstar or even get that type of reconition, but, it surprises me a lot that he's putting up the numbers hes had, although its summer league, because he's a player who i thought mitch waisted a pick on, and he's a player who i thought wouldnt even get invited to training camp. now i know its pretty hard to tell what type of player he'll become, but IMO he'll turn into a pretty solid role player, something i didnt think he would do when he got drafted.

don't expect too much from these guys, you might be disappointed come next season. numbers aren't that important, it's how the players learn and how they slowly adjust to the NBA level of play that's important through SPL.

Yah but when it comes down to it, we all don't know for sure how this guy's going to be... All I know is, NOW, he's looking real good; which is a good sign. So for all the people who don't really believe in him; they might be surprised and see that he could be a Joe Johnson or Michael Redd. Why not???? Right???? Who's to say that he can't... Hey!!!! I used to hate Derick Fisher, I used to cringe everytime he was put on the floor, but look what he did for the Lakers....

He has great potential, I saw him at the Mcdonalds game and at FSU he has major potential. Even though it's summer those are still pretty good numbers.
