<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MINNEAPOLIS -- Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut, the No. 1 pick in this year's NBA draft, was ejected from a summer league game on Monday after tangling with Indiana Pacers center John Edwards.

Edwards, who was also ejected, got caught up with Bogut underneath the basket and inadvertently shoved him to the ground as he headed back up court.

Bogut bounced off the floor and went after Edwards, but the two were separated by teammates before they made any contact.

After deliberating for a few minutes, the officials surprisingly decided to eject both players rather than issue technical fouls, eliciting heavy complaints from both coaching staffs.

"It was a pretty quick hook," said Bogut, who left Utah after his sophomore year. "I needed a rest anyway."

Edwards said the initial contact was not intentional.

"I don't think it was merited," he said of the ejection</div>

I cant wait for Bogut to rush the wrong guy and get his ass kicked. He is way too cocky, he needs an ass kicking to put him in perspective.

It has been a very tough week for Bogut he struggles his first game, rebounds nicely the following game, and now follows that up with this. It is not even the fact that he got ejected that bothers me it is his comment to getting ejected ? I needed the rest anyway?? Players levels above him have been selected with the number one overall pick the last few years, and were not as cocky. At times it shows toughness he is showing he will not be pushed around, but other times it just shows how arrogant he can be. My opinion on Bogut is very mixed right now I feel he did deserve the first overall selection, but needs to improve the way he handles situations at times.

yeah i know, thats exactly what i thought. this guy is way too cocky. i think the only reason why bogut went after him was because of his disappointing play. he's probably frustrated at himself, so he desiced to take it out on someone else. what someone needs to do is give him a lesson. and that special someone is, SHAQ! cant wait to see bogut match up against shaq and see what he can do. if bogut can get the best of shaq, i'll give him the right to be cocky. if he doesnt, then he better be more humble.

Too cocky is good, Bogut will be one of the toughest centers in the league, and bitch 95% of the guys he matches up with.

I usually don't like cocky guys, but when you're a young big man in the league, it can't hurt. Will he do some stupid things? Yeah. This is an example. No one complains about Shaq or Rasheed or anyone else. I know that these guys have earned the right to be cocky, but it can't hurt a youngster to come in and make it known that he isn't going to take any crap from the veterans.

I do have a problem with him saying "I needed the rest anyways". I think that this was probably a case of him being sarcastic and trying to dismiss that this was a big deal, but you never say something like that. Dumb, dumb thing to say, Andrew.

Maybe this is a good time for Bogut to ask for a month or two off, like Artest last year.

Comparing Bogut to Artest is like comparing an 8 year old kid who burns ants with a magnifying glass to Hannibal Lector; they're simply not in the same realm. Artest has proven over and over again to be crazy and a detriment to his team. Bogut is just a brash kid who needs to watch what he says sometimes.

If we was a bum would he be the number one pick? I dont even htink the Bucks will play the Lakers. That's a garbage post and once again you think that Kobe is God. Bogut could very well pack him when he goes to the hoop.

I wouldn't be too worried about Bogut, even if he has a knack for saying the wrong things to the media (the Longley comments and the one about needing a rest). It would be different if he wasn't motivated. But he seems to expect a lot out of himself, as shown by his reaction to his first summer league game and his performance in the second game. He's got a tough personality and reminds me of Brad Miller in that respect.

I think that's a very good comparasin. He's a tough big guy who isn't going to be a superstar, just a good, above average center in the league for a long time. They have a similar personality, too: they don't take any crap from anyone [IMG] I do think Bogut needs to choose his words more wisely in the future, though. He's put his foot in his mouth too much already. I think he'll eventually calm down, he's just a fiery youngster.

I think there are gonna be enough tangles if he gives guys like Rasheed, Martin and people known to be passionate like that attitude, and I think once he plays Shaq that cockiness will be very hurt, hes gonna have a rude awakening against Shaq. (I wanna see a Bogut Vs. Araujo fight, ill take Araujo, can't play ball but I think he'd own Bogut.)

Personally, I love Bogut's game and his personality. I would hope the #1 pick in the draft would show some cockiness, and that's just how Bogut is and always has been. It just shows that Bogut will not back down from anyone and I really like that coming from a rookie center.
