<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I just got off the phone with Vlady Radmanovic?s agent Dave Bauman about Vlady?s contract situation. It is clear that signing Radmanovic will not be easy for the Sonics. Bauman feels that Radmanovic should be a starter and that he is worth starter money in the NBA. Moreover, he sees Radmanovic as a star that is about to explode and wants him paid like the star he is going to be. All agents have this request. The Sonics have made an offer to Radmanovic and it is a 6-year offer in the range of 39 million dollars for the contract. According to Bauman, this deal does not equal what Radmanovic is worth. Bauman sites the deals just signed by Bobby Simmons, averaging about 9 million a year, and Kwane Brown, around 8 million a year, as deals that represent the market for Radmanovic. Most importantly, Bauman says that Radmanovic would not sign the 6 year deal and would instead sign a 1 year deal at 3.2 million and become an unrestricted free agent next season. He also says that he has two sign and trade deals that would pay Radmanovic that kind of money. Bauman insists that the negotiations are not adversarial at this point. He will be flying to Belgrade tomorrow to meet with Radmanovic to give him the details face to face. The Sonics can match any deal that Radmanovic receives. If Radmanovic doesn?t get an offer that his camp believes equals his value they will take the one year tender and become an unrestricted free agent.</div> Locked On Sports. Outrageous, seriously. I for one think Radmanovic has played an awful lot of minutes for the Sonics given the position the team has been in, with Rashard entrenched at the three and Vlad's indifferent play at the four. He has been brilliant in games and horrible in others, and while I understand his agent trying to get the best deal possible for his client, this whole situation just smacks of a lack of respect. I doubt either of those sign and trade deals would be reasonable to the Sonics either, unless one had something to do with Magloire (I can only hope).
9 Million for an inconsistent player???..Umm, his agent is dumb and is brain washing Vlad...He hasnt proven hes a star or anything yet, teams will actually just throw 9 million dollars at him?

A snippet from Chad Ford and insider: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">One other option is that the Sonics decide to sign a big man with the rest of the money under the cap. They've been pursuing Dalembert, Chandler and Walker. To do it, they'd have to renounce their free agents. If that happens, Radmanovic would become an unrestricted free agent and would be free to sign anywhere he chooses.</div>
I hope we dont get Antoine..God I hate him, I want Dalembert or Chandler tho..Hopefully lol..Hopefully Curry goes to ATL and then Dalembert may consider Seattle.

Sweet! Seriously though, Dalembert/Chandler would be sweet. I don't know about Curry, what with his weak heart (both literally and figuratively).
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Seattle PI - The Sonics have reportedly offered Vladimir Radmanovic a six-year contract that averages around $6.5 million per year. His agent David Bauman says Radmanovic would rather sign the one-year tender offer of $3.2 million and become an unrestricted free agent next season. Because Radmanovic is a restricted free agent, the Sonics can match any offer he receives. More importantly, the Sonics can wait seven days to match the offer, which leaves the offering team handcuffed for a week in a fast-moving market.</div> RealGM.
sooo we may get vlade back for a season so that he can bail on us next summer. If thats the case I say we sign and trade him now.
lol, maybe Vlad mite take the deal..Are there any teams out there willing to pay his pricey contract?..Doesnt seem like it because I havent heard of any offers for him yet..
