<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Seattle SuperSonics suffered another free-agent defection Tuesday night when guard Antonio Daniels reached a verbal agreement with the Washington Wizards on a five-year contract worth an estimated $30 million.

Daniels was also a prime target of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Tony Dutt, Daniels' Houston-based agent, said Daniels will join the Wizards as soon as the moratorium on free-agent signings is lifted Friday, which the league has scheduled as the first day free agents can sign new contracts.

"The more we talked with Washington, we just felt very comfortable," Dutt said. "When Larry Hughes went to Cleveland, it just became a perfect fit for Antonio."

Good pick up, big pure PG to play next to an undersized SG, Arenas

    Daniels/Blake
    Arenas/Hayes
    Jamison/Jeffries/Blatche
    Thomas/Ruffin
    Haywood/Ramos

    I'd see it like this:
    C: Brendan Haywood
    PF: Antawn Jamison
    SF: Caron Butler
    SG: Gilbert Arenas
    PG: Antonio Daniels

Haha, I forgot that deal happend, even better

    Daniels/Blake/Atkins
    Arenas/Hayes
    Butler/Jeffries/Blatche
    JamisonThomas/Ruffin
    Haywood/Ramos

I thought Wizards made a mistake by letting Hughes go, but they got rid of a non productive player like Brown, and brought in a productive one in Butler.

    Very nice pickup.

I would say the Wiz are a better team than last year, Butler is a nice defensive player and Daniels is a nice pure point guard.

All they need to do now is ship Jamison.

the wizards have a very nice starting lineup, but how good is there depth? i wonder if there is enough talent on this team to take another huge step and make it to the conference finals.

    MMMN

    I would say

    C-Haywood
    PF-Thomas
    SF-Jamison
    SG-Arenas
    PG-Daniels

I think Butler should come off the bench as I know Jamison is a tall small forward but would he physically be able to handle taller and bigger PFs in the L. Or the Wizards could switch it up depending upon what team they're playing to create miss matches.
