Scouting Report: Among the most versatile players in college basketball ... Quick, but doesn't accelerate much after his initial first step because he reaches his top speed so swiftly ... Simply has the size and know how to get and convert in the lane ... Aggressive with his dribble ... Takes the ball up strong and elevates nicely ... An amazing dunker ... Also uses the glass ... Not afraid to challenge shot-blockers ... Loves to get out on the break ... Rebounds extremely well, especially on the offensive end ... Solid shooter, he hits the set 3-pointer at a high percentage but avoids taking that shot off the dribble ... A terrific passer ... Excellent ball-thief and shot-blocker ... He sounds like the players Paxson always tries to bring in a thing I noticed is he was named Mr. Do it All his sophomore year sounds sort of like what Igoudala provided the 76ers with this season. He seems to be a player who will be able to get us some boards to make up for Curry?s lack of rebounding ability (if he does not improve that and returns). Interesting think is that he has the nickname Superman already so we do not have to come up with a new nickname for him. I hope he gets consistent minutes this season so we see what he can do. Paxson really scouted well by targeting this guy even without a draft pick it looks like Paxson brought us a good rookie this season. He led his AAU teammates to a 65-6 record so he is obviously a skilled leader. He sounds like a skilled dunker he was he will add a level to excitement to the team him, Chandler, and Deng will provide excitement to the games with there dunks.
He seems like a great player and as BKS said he also reminds me of Andre Igoudala because he can do it all. We finally get a shooting guard with size. He looks like a player that can come in and contribute immediately.
I have seen Eddie Basden play on TV. He is a good defensive minded player. Also, he has some size and like miamiballa12 stated, can come in and contribute. This is what the Bulls have had for the past year. Players drafted straight from college. Gordon, Deng, Hinrich, and Duhon to name a few.
Finally a guard with some size!!! Hinrich/Duhon Gordon/Basden Noconi (sp?)/Deng Chandler/Othella Curry/Davis we (Bulls) could be officially 10+ players deep. as long as egos dont get in the way, we could go further in the playoffs this season.
