As far as the 76ers interested in him I'm not sure. But I think we should go after him. Right now their frontcourt is pretty shallow and the 76ers should address that before anything. But if they can't work anything out to get a big man to come to Philadelphia then they could definitely use another forward. Most of you know that Kyle Korver isn't really starting material. He is more suitable for instant offense off the bench, so with that being said bringing in Spree might be able to help us. He is a veteran who has declined some but he still has game left in him and I think if the 76ers sign he could be able to play a role. He can score from the outside as well as penetrate and score inside. Even though he is undersized at times he puts some effort into defense and is a very feisty defender at that. The 76ers need to gear up, they need more threat on the offensive end or they are going to keep getting beat. What do you guys think?

They woud need to move Iggy down to the 2 because Spree isn't a 2 but you don't really need him, because he AI and CWEBB could never co-exist AI and Webber are having enough trouble already.

Iguodala does play shooting guard. So is Sprewell but its pretty much interchangeable between both of them since they're swingmen that can play either position. Iverson and Webber were actually starting to mesh pretty well by the end of the season, so there's only good things too come between those two next season.

Personally, I'm not liking it too much, its a risky move but if King was to pull the trigger I'd be okay with it. He's headcase, but he does play good defense and is a nice offensive weapon. He would perfectly fit in at the small forward position or shooting guard- forming a nice combo with Iguodala. Problems that might occur are Sprewell wanting a hefty contract, him playing without motivation at all, and chemistry issues between he and Iverson.

I really don't think he would fit well..hell I don't think he would fit in any team. He's too detrimental, and would most likely be very bad for the chemistry of the team, I'm sure there are much better options than him, i'd rather take bonner and put him at the 3 because he's young, good for chemistry, and a hustle player, not that im suggesting you should take him away from us >_>.

i would say no. i mean, yes, he is a good player and all, but think about all the money he will want. i mean, just like TO, he has to feed his family, and 5 million dollars a year just isnt enough. [IMG]

lol yea, he'll need at least 5 mil to feed his family, and we already have a similar player in aaron mckie. Sprewell's skills are starting to decline and at this point in his career sprewell is a bench player and we don't really need to dish cash at him.

Spree is capable of scoring 30 and Mckie isn't.

Wow. The Sixers must be really getting desperate. First Webber, now Sprewell. Pretty soon Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin will be coming to the Sixers...

I just don`t think Spree and the Sixers would fit. I mean he could pull off some nice numbers for us, but I think we can live without him. Doesn`t he love having the ball in his hands all the time? If that`s so I don`t see him and Iverson meshing well.

I agree with you B-22 on that we need to get some stronger offense in there, but we should explore the market a little more.

I don't know what that wink means but Sprewell is still a very good defender. Not a shut down like he was in NY, but none the less, a very good defender.

Spreewell was on a downfall last year.. did you see his stats??? Not worth more than the MLE... maybe not even that.

I saw countless box scores of Spreewell scoring 8 points on 4-15 shooting, along those lines... Spreewell should just retire for the risk of embarassing himself more and more with bad playing and using the wrong words.
