<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">What a wacky, wacky, wacky draft. NBA draft fans are lucky for Rob Babcock, always ready to supply some comedy in a tense situation. Charlie Villaneuva over both Granger and Green? You have to be kidding me! Villaneuva plays the same position as Bosh. Although Charlie claims he will play the 3, which he doesn?t do that well. The Biggest problem with this draft was the over-rating of the North Carolina guys. Sean May at 13 over Green and Granger, Bernie no! Then the Timberwolves pick Rashad McCants at 14 over the same two players. Hang on, I shouldn?t be saying oh no, my Boston Celtics have picked Gerald Green; this is great! Green is said to be a lot like Tracy McGrady, well goodbye Paul Pierce.</div> RealGm
Gerald Green will be great in years to come. What is next? A trade for Paul Pierce. Who will they get? No one knows. In fact, no one knows even if he is avalible. A great fit would be a trade to upgrade the small foward, center, or point guard position. Perhaps, they could get Peja Stojakovic and Corliss Williamson from the Kings. Or, they can grab Ron Artest in a deal possibly. These are deals I see the Celtics checking out. As for Gerald Green, he is the next big thing in Boston. He is compared to Tracy McGrady. If those comparisons become a reality, Boston Fans would be saying, "Paul Who?" or "Who Pierce?".

The man has things to offer to this youngster before he goes. Particularly, how to rebound. He didn't show us he could get to the loose balls in Summer League, so he needs the work before Pierce can really and have the C's be comfortable with it. I still say we should be looking the direction of picks and cash for this Pierce fellow, if anything (and I mean that), I don't know how much clearer I can make the fact that Jesikevicius would truly be great for this team, and having a man like that at the point would be all around great for the organization for years to come. People tell me he's too old at 29, but there is no comparison for this man as a player. Let's sign him while we have the chance. No one else out there has any better than the MLE, so let's get while the gettin's good.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting olskoolFunktitude:</div><div class="quote_post">Green could be the next Tracy McGrady............or he could be the next Darius Miles</div> All right, granted, he could. But would you say one positive thing? Ever? At least he has huge talent, we know that. He's nowhere near NBA ready yet, we know that too. If nothing else, it will be fun to watch him grow, won't it? Even if it's just one cool dunk here, one solid rebound there, or even one or two plays where he looked like he knew what he was doing on defense. Yes, he is largely a question mark, but a fun one to watch, so let's try focusing on that.
