Flip is the new coach in Detroit, hes getting paid 20million over 4 years. Im happy for him, but hes gonna be under a ton of pressure to win-immediatly. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

I agree and it's not the type of team he's used to coaching with one superstar to build around and Detroit doesn't have that.

I hope they really blow up (cheer) for Flip. He's done alot for us. He is just too nice. I hope they don't eat him alive there. A team like them or New York will be all over him.

Detroit isn't like New York, the fans and the city won't hate the guy If the worse happens. The atmoshere is totally different there. I don't think Flip will have any problems with the Pistons. Taking over those bunch of players is a dream come true for any coach. Guys that can play great defense and have guards who can score the ball so well and big man who can play in the post and beyond is always a good thing. Flip will be spoiled for choice compared to what he had in Minny.

He will have pressure, It comes with the job when you take over a contender who won the title two years ago and were a game away from repeating. He should be able to handle It though.

I predict that Flip will do very well with the Pistons. Though he is not the defensive coach that Brown was, I think that he is better with offense. Thus, I think that he is going to improve Detroits offense, but it will be up to the players to keep up their level of defense.

I believe in Flip and wish him all the best there. It's going to be a difficult task for him and I think he's in a tough situation but he should be able to master it.
