Thats the only problem
-Weatherspoon for Norris: Bad, Weatherspoon has a shoter contract McDysess, Ward, Eisley, Lampe, Vujanic, 3 draft picks for Marbury and Penny Hardaway: where all the trouble started...let me explain Marbury is a great talent, no question, but we had a BIGGEr problem at this time and we were on a way to a couple of expiring contracts like McDysess (big one) Eisley. and 3 Draft picks, along with a prospect like Lampe, and Vujanic was useless, but thats not the point, this trade ruin our cap future, all Isiah did with this trade is put us in the deepest cap hell we had ever been in.... Fire Coach Cheaney: Unprofessional, shows how professional Isiah can hadle situations, which is embarassing to represent the GM of the Knicks. Name Lenny Wilkens coach: He's more of a teacher than a coach...it was for the worst, more than for the better. -Trade Keith Van Horn, Doleac for Tim Thomas and Nazr Mohhamed: TERRIBLE Keith Van Horn is already a superior player, 17 and 7 guy, who has a post game, a jumpshot, and shoot the crap out of the ball, and is a superior rebounder to Tim Thomas, Keith Van Horn had a shorter, more cap friendly contract, what we did was lower talent, and increase the uglyness of the cap. Nazr didn't make a different...I'll tell you why when we get to the Rose deal - Draft Ariza - his best move ever, and it was an obvious pick, cause Ariza was the best player left on the board. - Get Crawford, Jerome Williams for Mutumbo, Harrington, Frank Williams = Awful deal Again and again, Isiah isn't addressing the cap problem we're facing, he just DOESN'T CARE, he brings in Crawford with a 5 year deal, and Jerome Williams with a 5 year deal, very ugly contracts added to our collection of god awful contracts. Othella Harrington and Mutumbo are FA's now....it'll clean our cap up, if we kept them Frank Williams was one of my favorite guys, he played perimeter defense, spread the defense, and created shots for his teammates, he was a GOOD PG, he didn't get the chance he deserved. Waive Shandon Anderson: Bad, and very unprofessional, Isiah disrespected Shandon's family, and Shandon was our best perimeter defender....look at the result when we waived him, we're last in the NBA in Opponent 3pt % - Fire Wilkins and replace him With Herb Williams: Didn't make much of a difference, we were already outta of the playoff hunt - Trade Mohhamed for Rose and 1st round pick: Good Depressing, Mohhamed had a shorter contract smaller contract, he was our only center, he was our best physical big man, our best offensive rebounder we gave him up...for what? More cap issues? Malik Rose has 4 years left on his contract...he's a 6"6 PF non atheletic, very old and slow, and can't block shots...he had good experience...but please, this guy is making way too much money to be a 3rd - 4th PF. Again, Isiah does his job, by making the other team better in the trade than us (ex; Phoneix, San Antonio, Chicago) - Trade Vaker and Norris for Taylor and second round pick: Just as bad as the recent move Please explain to me why, Maurice Taylor, an undersized non shot blocking PF...(like we don't have enough of those), who makes just as more as Malik Rose, Jerome Wiliams, Jamaal Crawford, Quiten Richardson.....who isn't even going to start or get more than 20 mins a game trading him for Vin Baker...expiring contract...and Moochie Norris who has a year left....again, Isiah doesn't make sense with his moves, Rockets get rid of a non defensive cancer off their team, and Isiah does what he does best, make the other team better. Draft Fyre, Robinson, Lee: Worst draft ever Drafting Channing Fyre, a 6"10 PF, who can't even average 8 rebounds at his senior season is a pathetic pick, when you have players like Joey Graham, Gerald Green, and Andrew Bynum on the board. What Isiah did was settle for less, he could of hit a homerun with Green or Bynum, its not like we're going to be competitive right away, hell, I don't think we'll ever be....Isiah changes the team every week, how will this team ever develop chemistry? Fyre is pretty raw for a College senior, consider he played in a divison which lacked alot of competition at the front court. Not gonna stress it, hopefully Fyre makes me look like an idiot this season @ 21, Nate Robinson is a very talented player, no question, but look at this, when have you ever seen Nate in a first round mock draft? He's been projected 40 - 50 for a very long time, Drafting Nate at 21 doesn't make sense, we have Marbury at PG for 40 minutes, and Crawford averaged 5 assist a game at Shooting guard in Chicago next to Hinrich, its not like we didn't have PG problems, especially considering Nate is a score first PG, and his style doesn't fit on the Knicks, when Marbury and Crawford also posess great scoring ability, Nate would of been a better fit in Seattle or Miami, teams who needed a PG, now Nate will play 8 minutes a game with, cause Isiah forgot Marbury was our point guard. Garcia would of been a better pick, we needed perimeter defense. @30, Lee was another one, undersized PF, can't block shots, atleast he's atheletic and versitle, he played center in college, and in the summerleague hes showing he can play a little SF, but still, we had Taft, Blatche, Ilyasova, and Turiaf on the board, all these guys were projected ahead of Lee, Lee who was projected ahead of Lee, Isiah disappointed me again Jerome James: Bad, 30 year old center who fouls alot, can't play over 16 minutes a game to a 5 year contract...I don't know, its so dumb I don't know how to explain it, 5 years? Really, I'm not dissing James, he'll be a good back up for us, but 5 years?, how are we getting to rid of his contract when he's 33 - 34 and unable to be productive? Isiah is just ****ing us with each move. EDIT: Watch the profanity, thanks - Dez
He has made NY a better team but he changes pieces so often that it is impossible for the players to mesh. He should try to keep the same lineup for all of next year nad let the expiring contracts expire. I have no idea why he wants to trade those giant expiring contracts for overpriced players, if he keeps it up the Knicks will never be under the cap.
ok ok the van horn for TT, i have to disagree, once again he had emotional problems, i can understand that, let him play i loved tim even when he was on bucks

Also Van Horn and Marbury worked well together, two half court players who were extremely productive. Where have you seen the chemistry between TT and Marbs? Marbury doesnt have that much confidence TT, and TT will play hsi best year this year because its his last year, he wants to sucker another team into signing him into good cash

Everybody is talking about How better would the Knicks be if We haven?t traded for Marury... Please tell me, if we had all the cap, Who would you sign as a free agent, Is there any FA better than Marbury this year???

Quoting marcelonbraga:

Why couldn?t we sign those FA via sign and Trade????????
Because New York don't have any attractive pieces or remaining expiring contracts, even if a guy like Dalembert did demand a move to New York. Philly would just stand back and make him settle for the MLE if he wanted to go to the Knicks.
