I have heard a lot of rumors about teams interested in Eddy Curry but what about the other Chicago Bulls big man on the market, Tyson Chandler. Has anyone heard anything about teams interested in him or if the Bulls will try to re-sign him?
Look in the Bulls forum I posted an article just yesterday I believe that was talking about him and the Bulls being in close negotiations. The only other team that has the cap to sign him is the Hawks right now. Anyone else who is interested in him would have to do a sign and trade. Something Paxson has not ruled out, but made clear is an unlikely possibility especially in Chandler?s case.
Is Chandler really getting a lot of money? I haven't really read or heard much about that many teams going after him, except as mentioned the Hawks. He is a beast on defense, and I think teams are scared of his back injury.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post"> I think teams are scared of his back injury.</div> It?s not necessarily that his back injury was two season ago and proved it did not become a lingering injury this season. What is going on is that Paxson and the whole Bulls organization are really high on him and he has not made any type of trade demand or anything. So Paxson does not want to sign and trade him, and unfortunately for most teams they are over the cap and cannot pay Chandler the type of money he wants. The only team that can do that/ would do that is the Hawks and Bulls. The Hawks are in a bind right now they have to first see how the Joe Johnson and Eddy Curry situation turns out to see how much actual cap room they have so that leaves only the Bulls. Negotiations have been going very well, but been flying under the radar do to the other Bulls prized free agent Eddy Curry. Unlike in the Curry situation Paxson has made it clear a sign and trade is really not even a option in his mind right now so that leaves basically the whole NBA out of the mix with the exception of Hawks and Bulls. This is similar to the Stromile Swift situation lat season when he was a restricted free agent. I do not think Paxson will offer him a one-year deal though for him to be unrestricted next off-season. He will probably be signing a long-term deal with the Bulls or will have to take less money and play one season some place else to become an unrestricted free agent next off-season.
Tyson C is a guy teams have interest in-but there is a sense that the Bulls intend to keep him even if they need to match at the max. Curry, they might not go to the max, paying max deals to both can mean trouble later with Gordon,Deng,Hinrich coming up. The sense is that the Bulls MIGHT go for a sign/swap on Curry if the price is too stiff,so they can keep Chandler and have future options. Still-someone COULD offer a deal too good to pass up. Chandler scored a bit under 10 per,but his RBD,and defense were good,so a team needs to decide do they give a very generous trade-then also pay him more than typical for his production?

Paxson ahs said if Duhon and/or Curry do not get signed by another team he will make them a reasonable offer, and not just let them sign for the one year qualifying offer that the Bulls made to them to make them restricted free agents.
Lokk in the bulls forum i posted already that they will match anything any team those and its 6year 60 mil alright
after last season it would be hard for eddie, tyson , and the bulls not to come to an agreement to keep them both. both players enjoy their situation and management loves the young vets. Its would take stupidity on somones part not to get that same team back at 100%. Good luck Tyson, Eddie, and Pax! Go Bulls!
