Firstly, according to Chad Ford, the Hornets are still actively shopping Magloire and he expects him to be moved by the start of next season. All-Star centres don't become available every day of the week, if there is a chance to get him without giving up one of the big four (Ray, Lew, Nick and Luke) I reckon we really have to have a crack. Do they still like Vlad?

    Now, from David Locke:

    - We are hot after Juan Dixon, which I'm not overly keen on given I don't think he'll add anything Flip won't.

    - Cavs have offered Gooden for Evans, we want Varaejo or Jackson from them. They say Varajeo is untouchable.

    - Flip will likely re-sign in the 2-3 million range, maybe a deal similar to Willie Green (who got 6/20).

Well, Juan would give us another reliable spot up shooter. Let's say you run Ray Allen off a pick and roll, he's the guy on the other side with an open look.

From what I saw in the playoffs, he's a deadeye shooter. I consider Flip more of a scorer who can do things with the ball in his hands (assuming he can pry it from Ray [IMG]).

As far a Gooden for Evans, no thanks. I assume Cleveland figures Reggie doesn't need shots and won't clog the lane calling for the ball, and just want him to go after Lebron and Larry's errant shots.

Well he can do that here in Seattle [IMG]

Yeah I've cooled off Gooden as well, after speaking to a few Cavs fans about him.

Last season's success was built around defense, rebounding and toughness. Gooden can rebound, but he's apparently a headcase, plays no D and takes bad shots out of sync with the offense. I suppose there's a reason he's seemingly traded every year.

Jackson would be nice, but given the Cavs used a top ten pick on him, I can't see them giving him up so easily.

I honestly dont want Gooden at all, like I said he seems like a lazy player who doesnt give effort, when you watch him play, hes not noticeable, but when you do notice him it seems like hes lost on defense and doesnt know what hes doing.

Juan Dixon would be a good back up for Luke, they will probably split minutes..And I have a feeling we can land Magloire, I hope we do.

Well, hopefully it looks like we won't have to worry about D.Gooden anymore. The rumore is D.Gooden for Jaric/Wilcox. Personally it seems like a tremendous deal for the Cavs, and the the LAC will end up being forced to play a PG,SG,SF,PF,PF lineup for the majority of the game in order to get anykind of value in the deal.

I'd say turn it into a three-way and let us land Jaric and Wilcox for Reggie, but somehow I think the Cavs would rather go that route. Amazing deal for Cleveland, on paper anyway - maybe Jaric's injury problems are worse than first thought and Wilcox really is a headcase.

Yeah, that would tremendous value for a player who we picked off the scrap heap as an undrafted rookie. It would help to kill two birds with one stone so to speak as Jaric helps fill out the backcourt and Wilcox has shown he can play spot minutes at C.

Doubt CLE would rather have Reggie though - after losing Simmons, the Clipps might think favorably of Damien Wilkens though, so that might be able to get worked in somehow.

Thought I spotted Dixon at the Storm/Shock game today (Saturday). But then again it was far away and I haven't seen him outside the TV before, so I could have been hallucinatin'.

Would be good to have a young guy with speed to back up Luke and Flip in case of injury. He shoots pretty well, too, and his defense picked up last season.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There are 5 primary suitors for Juan Dixon other then Seattle. Utah, Miami, Cleveland, Portland and Sacramento. If Miami is going to re-sign Damon Jones they will have to use the money they were going to use on Dixon, Cleveland is talking with Jaric and Watson above Dixon. That leaves Portland, Utah and Sac. Portland is interesting because they are in on everyone but word still is they will be offering Damien Wilkins a deal which takes them out of the Juan Dixon dealings. Then it becomes Utah, Sac or Seattle. If that all makes any sense. Utah will offer the most money since they are desperate. Sacramento and Seattle are trying to split their mid-level exception. Sacramento is about to acquire Jason Hart from Charlotte so you may be able to knock them off the list. In a round about way I am trying to tell you the Sonics have a really good chance at Juan Dixon.</div>

So if we get Juan Dix does this mean Flip is gone? Or is there a chance we'd sign them both.

What I figure is that they're looking for someone to play off the ball (read: play with Ray).

Flip's proven he can do some wonderful things with the ball in his hands - but as a 'floater' he's yet to adjust (to be fair, that's not his game).

Dixon can float to open spots and Ray can do that thing where he dribbles the shot clock down to 5 seconds with like 3 guys on him and kick it to Juan.
