<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Playing for the Bulls next season appeals to Toni Kukoc, and the Bulls are interested in him, Kukoc's agent said Thursday. "The Bulls are certainly a team he would be interested in coming back to, without question," agent Herb Rudoy said. Kukoc, who began his NBA career with the Bulls in 1993, is a free agent after playing the last three seasons for the Bucks. He is not expected to return to Milwaukee, which extended a substantial offer to the Clippers' Bobby Simmons and will re-sign guard Michael Redd. Rudoy said the Bulls are among several teams who have called to discuss Kukoc, 36. Kukoc was a teammate of Bulls general manager John Paxson in 1993-94 and helped the Bulls win three straight NBA championships from 1996 to 1998. "There's definitely interest on their part," Rudoy said.</div> <div align="center">Source</div>
Besides being a good outside shooter for when Curry is doubled (assuming he returns). Kukoc hasn't been known throughout his career as a very good defensive player and at his age he doesn't really fit into the Bulls defensive gameplan.
There is nothing that convinces me to think that signing Toni would be anything more than a signing just so he can retire a Bull were he spent basically the most successful seasons of his career in term of winning, and contributing to a great overall team. This reminds me of when we signed Pippen so he could retire a Bull. I would be surprised if we spent more than the minimum on him. If he wants more than that I would just focus on bringing back Curry, Chandler, and possibly getting Jay Williams into the mix.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DWade3:</div><div class="quote_post">If he retires with them, do you think they'll retire his number? I don't</div> Then why ask? Of course not he was a role player, but never a key part of any championship team the Bulls had. He was a good sixth man, and a player who we could rely on to put some points on the board. If they did not retire Rodman?s number they will not retire Toni?s number.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DWade3:</div><div class="quote_post">true he would definately not have been a key part in the championships with MJ on the same team</div> I have read that post over, and over and I still do not get what you are trying to say. Toni was a good guy, and a big time player in bringing us those titles, but he never really excelled as a Bull he averaged eighteen points twice, but that was post Jordan retirement, and after Pippen left we did not have nay scoring option but him. He never averaged over fifteen points during that championship dynasty. He left the Bulls with a career Bulls average of 14.7 points a game. You need better numbers than that to have your number retired. In fact that average would be much lower if he did not have those two eighteen points a game seasons due to how bad our team was at that time. Unless you excel above a average player in some aspect of your game Jordan overall, Pippen with his defense and scoring ability, Rodman with his rebounding, etc. You are a role player, and role players due not typically get their number retired especially in a organization like the Bulls we played for a long time with us though, and was as big a role player as we had in the dynasty, but that's all.
I wouldn't really like this signing. I don't see the point.. he wouldn't do the Bulls any good for competeing, and it's not like he was a star player in a Bulls uniform before, or any uniform. Meh.

I got your email(well, for my other name to come back, Beasly3), but yeah, I'm going to try and post here as much as I can.
I think Kukoc has at least 1-2 more years of some good basketball left in him and he`d be a good tool coming off the bench.
