<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Kings will send guard Bobby Jackson to the Grizzlies -- a moved Jackson also confirmed to SportsTicker -- and center Greg Ostertag back to Utah for a second tour of duty with the Jazz. Utah also would send guard Raul Lopez and Kirk Snyder and forward Chris Borchardt to Memphis. West, the Grizzlies' president, had been trying to deal the 6-foot-7 Wells since he was removed from the squad during this past season's playoffs. The 29-year-old Wells averaged 10.4 points -- his lowest mark since the 1999-2000 campaign with the Portland Trail Blazers -- in 69 games for the Grizzlies last season. The 32-year-old Jackson had been a valuable contributor off the Kings' bench in recent seasons but, slowed by numerous injuries, averaged just 12.0 points in 25 games this past campaign.</div> Source (ESPN)
Don't like it. Bobby Jackson was the truth. Bonzi Wells is talented, but his attitude has been a problem wherever he goes. Utah needs talent, and the little talent they had, they've traded it away (Aroyo, Snyder, etc....). What do they get in return? Ostertag? I smell bust written all over it. Memphis was obviously the winner in this one.

I had no idea Bobby Jackson is 32.It makes sense.Bibby became the man in Sacramento.Jackson hasnt played anything close to a full season for the past 2 years and wasnt going to get a ton of shine behind Bibby. Both Memphis and Sac got players they can use more out of this trade. As long as Bonzi keeps his head on fairly straight im ok with this deal, hes pretty good in every aspect of the game.Memphis gets BJax whos obviously starting PG material. He'll likely start next season in Memphis. Not sure who the winner is,but I do know Utah is the Loser
Giant Midget, you could not of said it any better. I am happy with the deal. Bobby didnt play that much, Bonzi will.
Damn....Utah got raped, haha. so the lineups will be... Kings Bibby/Garcia Wells/Evans Stojakovic/Williamson Thomas/Songalia Miller/Skinner Jazz Williams/? Harping/CJ Miles? Kirilenko/Giricek Boozer/Humphries Okur/Collins/Ostertag Memphis Williams/Jackson Miller/Jones/Syder Battier/Posey Gasol/Warrick Wright/Borchardt Why would the Jazz want Ostertag back...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting j0se:</div><div class="quote_post">Damn....Utah got raped, haha....</div> Raped is putting it in a gentle, more polite way.lol
ugh. I'm neutral on this deal, but damn. I like how we got rid of a player who hasn't played a full seaosn for two seasons oin a row now, but thats about it.
Utah didn't get raped, they got lucky to get rid of some dead weight. Raul Lopez is going back to Spain, and he was injured all the time anyway Curtis Bochardt can't stay healthy a whole year, and can't do anything good Kirk Snyder can't even be a dominant player in the summer league. He has got 30 points in 75 minutes during 4 games of playing at the RRMR, that's only 7.5 points a game against sub par competition. He was a bust ever since he got drafted, and from draft day a year ago to now, I can't believe they picked him over Jameer Nelson. As for Greg Ostertag, he fits into Utah's system, and he can get rebounds and blocks shots, that's all we need from him. It also freed up cap for FA's. Utah is reportedly close to Signing Sarunas Jaskevicius.

ostertag is horrible even if the players you traded for him weren't that good. Some of those players had potential while Ostertag is just a big stiff.

This looks like a real solid deal for the Griz; they give up a starting caliber player, but in return get a promising (though injury prone) young big man, promising wing and a solid backup PG. More good depth for a team known for its depth, and youngsters to replace the departing vets.
Pretty sure the only reason the Jazz did this was because Ostertag only has one year on his contract left.
The deal is great for the Kings and the Grizz....Utah...not so much. The Kings now have someone to replace mobley in bonzi doesnt have the same shooting touch but will get the job done and the grizz get the a part of the cancer off the team. I belive the only one who will make the grizz roster coming from Utah is Snyder and I doubt he will play much...Curtis may but want see any valuable time at all...I dont care about lopez really he would be no better then burks. Jackson is a solid guard and if the Grizz find someone dumb enough to take on J-Will then he will prob. be starting for the Grizz. Is wright still asking for a trade if so we now have a few ppl to work with to get a decent center in return.
