I seen all the Heat games when they aired and I really like Dooling by his quickness and bounce this man can get up there.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GotSkillz92:</div><div class="quote_post">Trading Francis would be a very bad decision. Why cant Francis play SG? He can score off the ball and he doesnt have much handling skills since he led the league in TO's a good part of the season. His strength makes up for his height. Dooling isnt that good to even consider starting. He would be a backup PG or SG.</div>
Francis isn't a catch and shoot type of player. He has to dribble to score, he has to dominate the ball to be effective. That's why he can't play SG. Plus his size at 6'3 makes him a midget compared to the rest of the SG's in the NBA.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Magic Press Release - The Orlando Magic have signed free agent guard Keyon Dooling, President/CEO Bob Vander Weide announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed.

?Keyon (Dooling) brings additional athleticism to our team,? said Assistant General Manager Otis Smith. ?He adds the depth we needed in our backcourt and even more versatility to our roster. We?re happy to add Keyon to our team.?

Dooling (6?3?, 195, 5/8/80) played in 74 games last season with Miami, averaging 5.2 ppg., 1.8 apg. and 1.2 rpg. in 16.0 minpg. He also appeared in all 15 playoff outings with the Heat, averaging 7.3 ppg., 1.7 apg. and 1.1 rpg. in 17.6 minpg., while shooting 49.4 percent (43-87) from the field. Dooling led the Heat in scoring once and in assists four times during the regular season.

?Signing Keyon (Dooling) gives us size at the guard position and helps solidify our backcourt,? said Head Coach Brian Hill. ?He brings experience and athleticism to our team and we are proud to have him as part of the Magic family.?</div>

It's official now. We all knew it was going to happen but Vander Weide made it official. I found this kind of interesting. Otis Smith says, ?He adds the depth we needed in our backcourt and even more versatility to our roster." When did we need more depth at the point guard position? We now have 3 point guards and Steve Francis who should be at the point guard spot. If anything we needed a shooting guard not more depth at the point guard position. [IMG]

I really think the magic would be better if the jbb crew voted on every general management move instead of letting those idiots (twardzic and smith) decide. they keep sayin things like it's hard, yeah i'm sure it's a hard job, we'll give you that but i'm also suremost of us here know more than these fools who have no idea why they need a pg, someone just told them they needed one.

Yeah I say we email the Magic telling them our idea so that they don't go out and sign 3 more point guards. [IMG]

As for the 3 guards I dont see a prob. 15 man roster 3 men to each position. I might see if your talking about Stevio being a Pg but we moved him so we have:
    Pg: Nelson/Dooling/Deiner
    Sg: Stevio/Stevenson/Dougy( [IMG] )
    Sf: Hill/Turk/Augmen
    Pf: Howard/Pat
    C: Kato/Battie/Kasun
    We need a Pf to back-up Dwight(Vasquez [IMG] ) a vet maybe?
