Miller already has told us what he thinks. "I'm not euphoric about it," Miller acknowledged. "I've been there before, and it hasn't worked out." He's there again. Talk about prophetic. Miller made that statement on June 26, 2002, when he half-heartedly endorsed his basketball staff's decision to draft size over skill and take Borchardt - a decision that left him visibly uncomfortable over the parallels to the day the Jazz drafted Ostertag. Now, with Ostertag headed back to Utah in a three-way deal that exiled Borchardt, Kirk Snyder and Raul Lopez's about-to-be-torn-up contract to Memphis, Miller must be thinking he's riding a never-ending carousel of 7-foot risks gone bad. Makes you wonder how John Amaechi's jumper looks these days, doesn't it? </div> <div align="center">Source </div>
I guess this deal was a classic case of 'addition by subtraction.' I was disappointed to read Kirk Snyder had so many problems learning the playbook. I thought he was going to be a steal when the Jazz drafted him. I watched a lot of his college games, but he has not outgrown his attitude problems apparently. They probably didn't want him rubbing off on CJ Miles or Robert Whaley.

Or still is? Unless I'm thinking of the wrong person.

It sounds like Snyder has a terrible work ethic and is not motivated. Jerry Sloan is one of the best motivators in the game and gets the most out of those willing to listen to his instruction. Having a knucklehead like Snyder around could end up being a bad influence on the rookies.
