<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SALT LAKE CITY, July 22, 2005 ? The Charlotte Bobcats scored 99 points in their final game of the Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue on Friday. Unfortunately, it wasn?t enough, as they fell to the Atlanta Hawks, 105-99, and closed the Revue with a 4-2 record. Despite the loss, the Bobcats finished with the best record in the summer league thanks in large part to Utah's 80-75 win over San Antonio in Friday night?s final contest. The Spurs finished with a record of 3-2. Rookie forward Sean May was named MVP of the Revue following a 25-point, 13-rebound performance that gave him his third double-double in six games. He averaged a team-high 16.5 points and 9.2 rebounds at the summer league. This was the second year in a row that a Bobcat won the Revue MVP. Jason Kapono won the MVP in 2004 after averaging 16.1 points and 2.0 assists, while helping Charlotte post a 5-2 record. But May wasn't the only Bobcat to have another big night. Matt Carroll added 19 points and was named to the All-Revue Team with averages of 16.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists, while Raymond Felton also landed a spot on the All-Revue Team after scoring 16 points and averaging 13.2 points, 5.2 assists and 3.4 rebounds in five games. Alan Anderson made his first start of the summer and added16 for the Bobcats. </div> Full Article Congrats to big Sean May for getting MVP of the RMR, he performed very well and hopefully this can carry over to the regular season. Go Bobcats
While this is good news (only SL, still encouraging though), I'm a little worried about something. It's Feltons FT shooting. Most guards shoot good from the line, but in college he was in the high 60's low 70's, and then looking at this boxscore he was 5-10. He was shooting relatively well in the other games, but it's still a concern. This could be something that could hurt the Bobcats in the final minutes of a game. Nonetheless, go Bobcats!
Felton got a little injury prone during the RMR also, hopefully that won't carry over to the regular season.
well, good job sean may. let me tell you, i will be a big bobcats fan now that may and felton are on the same team. you guys have a bright future.
^ This is summer league you know? Now consider that in that quote, it also talks about Kapono who is at best a role playing shooter in the NBA, winning MVP last year, and Matt Carroll, who is mainly a shooter off the bench being one of the better performers. Not to take anything away from May, but it's basically like him playing against college guys again in summer league.
wait a sec. i was looking at the reebok rocky mountian revue all tournament team and sean may isent on it but he got mvp? how did that happen. also i think childress deserved a spot on the all revue team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stockton:</div><div class="quote_post">^They did the same thing in 2003 and 2004. The Revue MVP not been a part of the All-Revue team.</div> thats weird. i would think the mvp would be on the all revue team.
