An article that I found on hoopshype.com. from the Orlando-Sentinel, said that the Lakers may trade Lamar Odom to the Orlando Magic for Keyon Dooling. Also, it mentioned something about the Minnesota Timberwolves and Paul Pierce. Possibly a four way trade? I couldn't open up the link because it said it didn't exist anymore, so if anyone could get it, it would be great if they put up the link. Any thoughts on this?

I'm up for the Odom for Francis trade. If we can do that and some how get Stojakovic, which seems unlikely, our team would look like this: PG Steve Francis SG Kobe Bryant SF Peja Stojakovic PF Kwame Brown C Chris Mihm/Andrew Bynum That lineup is deadly.
Odom is untouchable. PJ has already said he has huge plans for Odom. If Odom wasn't untouchable, we would've shipped him out instead of Butler.

According to you the rumor is Keyon Dooling not Steve Francis.
He misread it, it's Steve Francis for Odom. And as for that lineup, it has more name recognition then the All star game. Unfortunately That won't happen this year because Peja IS signed til next summer. Besides that- we better keep Odom, there is a lot more potential in Kobe and Odom than Peja and Francis and Kobe. Francis is a guy that needs the ball too much, he wouldn't mesh with Kobe. Peja is a stand around shooter, and while it would be nice to have someone that shoots that well- he doesn't make anyone better...also...that lineup plays even less defense then (once again) an All-Star team...east or west, take your pick. Anyways that lineup sucks and would be tremendously overpaid. It would be an LA version of the Dallas Mavericks
Maybe it won't happen, but Francis's D is underrated, Kobe has very good D, and Kwame Brown has potential to become an elite shot blocker. Also, Chris Mihm is already a good shot blocker.
It was Francis for Odom and now the Magic front office has released several statements saying that Stevey will stay in Orlando for the time being.
Francis would be terrible on the Lakers. The Lakers need a PG that's willing to pass, not a hog. Francis is also weak defensively, as he does not put much defensive effort, so I don't see any positives in getting him and losing Odom.

If LA needs a pg willing to pass, I see no better fit than signing Brevin Knight for part of the MLE.
