Here is further prove that ONLY AK can ever achieve quintuple double:

Statline from tonight's game vs. Lakers
    14 Points
    8 rebs
    9 asts
    6 stls
    7 blks

Nobody else comes close. Yes, not KG and for sure not Lebron.

I remember Hakeem doing it in rebounds points blocks and steals or assists. I don't remember which one. Am i just mistaken or did this really happen?

Yeah, that was a quadruple double. With assists, not steals. See "best performances of last 17 years" thread for a link to his specific stats that game.

The closest will be AK47 he had a good game tonite with like 14 pts, 7 reb, 6 assists, 5 blocks, and 6 steals. But thats not his exact stat line.

Both teams would have to be in on it lol!
You could say KG would get it, But that would have to be one stupid team to give up 10 turnovers to the same player. AI would get the 10 steals but have trouble with the rebounds. Its tough to say. The player would have to get 20 points all off steals and Blocks turning into transition, then then straight away turn to assists and dive after rebounds after the players shots.
Maybe a nash might be able to, but his defence isnt any good so he would struggle with the blocks.
Ak47 is the only player i see completing this. He has the perfect all around game for it.
So hopefully im alive to see it.
I wish theyd recorded Russell and Chamberlins games, this might already have been played, and no one have a clue!
Considering the highest amount of steals in a game is 11 by Kendell Gill, im thinking that you would have to be allen iverson+kevin garnett+shaq+Jordan to get 10 in 5!
The steals part would be hardest.

If AK47 is the closest, Does anyone have the stats of the closest to one. Is that the closest he has come UNLEASHED?

KG and AK could only do that, maybe also Lebron, but I dont think he can get 10 blocks..

LeBron will never do it, because there's no way he'll ever block 10 shots in a game. He's never even averaged more than one block a game.

Players who are very strong in blocks and steals have the best chance of getting it, since those are the hardest categories get big numbers in. Here are the players current averaging over 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game:

    Ben Wallace:
    8.8 pts, 12.2 reb, 2.0 ast, 1.6 blk, 2.0 blk

    Gerald Wallace:
    13.8 pts, 6.1 reb, 2.1 ast, 2.0 stl, 2.0 blk

    Kirilenko:
    13.4 pts, 8.1 reb, 4.4 ast, 1.5 stl, 3.2 blk

    Garnett:
    22.0 pts, 10.8 reb, 4.9 ast, 1.5 stl, 1.5 blk

    Marion:
    20.6 pts, 11.9 reb, 1.7 ast, 1.9 stl, 2.0 blk

Of all the players in the league right now, it will probably be one of these players. Kirilenko probably has the best shot.

BTW, here's a list of all 5x5 games since 1990. Guess who has the most?

No, Olajuwon was closer on several occasions.

How about this gem from 1987:
    38 pts, 17 reb, 6 ast, 12 blk, 7 stl

Or his quadruple double game in 1990:
    29 pts, 18 reb, 10 ast, 12 blk, 5 stl

The funny thing about AK i was suprised to find out is he's never blocked more then 8 shots in a game. So if he did get a quintuple it would also be his career high in blocks.

I think the only player that you could really consider this is Andrei Kirilenko. He's one of the only active players in the NBA that can stake clame to getting a 5x5, and he's done it 3 times if I'm correct. I really don't think there is anyone else out there who is capable of it outside of him. LeBron wouldn't get it cause he's never going to block 10 shots in a game, same with DWade, KG, etc.

If if happens this year, it'll happen in a double or triple overtime game. It's hard to accumulate those stats in just 48 minutes of play.

And yeah, I would have to agree that Kirilenko would probably be the one to do it. He does everything on the court.

Chris Paul will very likely have a quadruple double in the near future in points, assists, rebounds and steals. He's had numerous doubles in points and assists and points and rebounds and he's had 5 steals that I remember. But blocks are out of reach unless he's guarding the white shadow. I think the elite power forwards and small forwards have the best shot, but their teams just don't need them to do all those things: Duncan, Garnett, Nowitzki on the big end and Bryant, Pierce, McGrady on the shorter end.

Very likely? Someone who average 13/6/4/1 is going to get at least 10 in all four of those categories? Only once this season has he been withing 1 rebound of a triple double. He has gotton more than 7 boards twice on the season. 10 steals? Only two times this season has he gotton more than 3 steals. Doesn't sound very likely to me.
